Idaho has long been an underrated state for recruiting basketball talent and each year, there seems to be more and more prospects signing in order to play at the next level while also earning an education and college degree. A lot of players from the class of 2021 have truly showed their skills on the court over the past 4 years. Continue reading for a look at a few of the players from the class of 2021 who have committed to play college basketball.
Jaylen Alexander Jaylen Alexander 6'7" | PF Columbia | 2021 State ID , Pima College: Jaylen will be playing his next two-seasons of college basketball in sunny Arizona. Alexander had a terrific senior season and he was able to snag conference player of the year honors during his final season of prep basketball. Jaylen is a tough cover who can play inside and out and uses his physicality to his advantage. Jaylen should benefit from the shot-clock at the college level as he does a great job of creating shots for himself and providing instant offense for any team. Alexander has a lot of upside and will continue to develop for the next two seasons before transferring to a four-year program and making his mark on the ultimate level of college basketball.
Whitt Miller, College of Idaho: Miller signed early to stay at home and play at the College of Idaho after having a great prep career at Boise High School. Miller will look to make an immediate impact for a solid program. Whitt is gifted at rebounding and turning those rebounds into fast breaks and scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates on the offensive end of the floor. Whitt can score at all three levels and his game should translate very nicely to the college level. Miller has been working this summer in order to expand his range and consistency from beyond the three-point line. I would expect Miller to have a great career at C of I.
