In this article:
We updated our 2023 rankings on the website. After a busy spring grassroots season for all high school basketball players, we have a much better feeling on the class of 2023.
We kept Rayvon Griffith Rayvon Griffith 6'6" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2023 State #78 Nation AZ at number 1, the wing has established himself as a nationally ranked prospect and recently stood out at the Pangos All American camp. Austin Parks Austin Parks 6'9" | C St. Mary's Memorial | 2023 State #166 Nation OH takes the number two spot in our rankings after a huge spring for the Ohio Buckets. Parks is well known around Ohio, but should be receiving much more attention from national rankings and high major universities. Lawrent Rice Lawrent Rice 6'4" | PG Huber Heights Wayne | 2023 State #184 Nation OH is at three, he’s been offered by two Big 12 schools and Ohio State. Rice also picked up an offer from Dayton today. Dailyn Swain Dailyn Swain 6'7" | SF Africentric | 2023 State #81 Nation OH is at number four, Swain is another star on the dominant All Ohio Red 16 U squad that had a great Spring. Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH is at number five, Cupps is shining playing 17 U alongside Reed Sheppard for Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB. Cupps has proven himself to be a winner, leading Centerville to a state title and Midwest Basketball Club to some signature victories this spring.
Some notes to keep track of about these updated rankings, we now have 95 total players ranked with 34 more on our watch list. This class is very strong on big men, with 12 of the top 50 prospects being listed as centers. We see All Ohio Red making a statement, with five of the top 10 ranked players in this class.
We’ll continue to be working throughout the summer months to expand our database in the 2023 class in Ohio, we know some quality players have not been seen by our group yet and are hoping to see as many of these prospects as possible.
