Mike Sharavjamts, 6’7 PF Centerville 2022: For those unfamiliar with Sharavjamts, here’s a bit of a background on him. He played his freshman year at Xenia Legacy Christian Academy before heading to Profilic Prep as a Sophomore. He also plays with Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas circuit with Gabe Cupps Gabe Cupps 6'1" | PG Centerville | 2023 State #80 Nation OH and company. About his game, Mike is an elite passer for his size. There were multiple games this weekend where he had 5+ assists. He moves really well for his size and gives more natural big guys trouble with his quickness. Defensively, Sharavjamts was everywhere this weekend, disrupting shots in the paint and jumping passing lanes for steals. This is one of the most intriguing recruits in the state of Ohio and will likely make an appearance in the top 15 when rankings are updated in July.
Tom House Tom House 6'5" | SF Centerville | 2022 State OH , 6’5 SF Centerville 2022: House plays with some SWAGGER every time he steps on the court. With one of the quickest releases in the state and a pure shooting stroke, House will make it rain and let you know about it while running back on defense. I think House is a bit more consistent with Centerville compared to All Ohio Red, as the ball movement between Cupps, Sharavjamts and his other teammates always get him going. House has seen his recruitment spike recently, and we expect even more Division I programs to offer House before July is over.
Keliese Frye, 6’5 C Cincinnati Woodward 2022: While everybody came to see Paul McMillan IV Paul McMillan IV 6'2" | PG Woodward | 2022 State #229 Nation OH Vs Sean Jones Sean Jones 5'10" | PG Gahanna | 2022 State #102 Nation OH , it was Woodward’s complimentary players that pushed them over Gahanna. Frye was my favorite of the bunch that had an excellent Saturday, beating Gahanna and Dayton Dunbar. Frye plays with an excellent motor and is usually in good position to grab offensive rebounds. Frye also provides toughness in the paint, contesting shots and grabbing loose balls. Woodward is much more than a one man show this season and if their role players continue this level of play, they will be a very tough out in the CMAC and Division II playoffs.
Eljae Deas Eljae Deas 6'1" | CG Gahanna | 2022 State OH , 6’1 CG Gahanna 2022: While Gahanna struggled as a team, going 0-2 in the two games we scouted, Deas was impressive individually for the Lions. Deas was hitting shots from the outside and beating defenders off closeouts when he gets the ball from Sean Jones Sean Jones 5'10" | PG Gahanna | 2022 State #102 Nation OH or a big. Deas also played solid defense for the Lions, which is to be expected from somebody who had a major role after Jarius Jones Jarius Jones 6'5" | SF Gahanna | 2021 State OH went down with an injury last season. If Gahanna is going to win a regional title this season, they need Deas to continue his improving play.
Jadon Coles Jadon Coles 6'3" | SF Lakota East | 2022 State OH , 6’3 SF Lakota East 2022: Coles is really coming into his own as an offensive player this summer for Midwest Basketball Club Gold and Lakota East. Coles looks ready to be one of the leading scorers for an always competitive Thunderhawks squad. Coles provides shooting from the wing position and is a solid athlete as well. I expect Division II and NAIA programs to give Coles a look for a scholarship.
