WASHINGTON, DC -- The action heated up on Saturday at DC Live. Here are some notes from another eventful day in the gym.

Darren Buchanan Jr. was dominant in both wins today for Wilson. He averaged over 15 points and 15 rebounds per game with extras. But Buchanan’s intangibles are simply off the charts.

Wilson has a 2024 prospect, Lukas Sekasi, who is showing promise this weekend. He has spaced the floor well and is shooting the ball with confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id="904687" first="James" last="Rice"] and Carlos Kinard are a pair of sleepers in the 2022 class at Eleanor Roosevelt. We’ve talked about Rice before, but Kinard is a new name to look out for. They both shot it well on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id="957022" first="Cam" last="Gillus"] is an absolute maestro for Sidwell. He was in complete control during their win over John Marshall. Gillus is an underrated scorer and finisher. He finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in that contest.

[player_tooltip player_id="777068" first="George" last="Perkins"] looked good today for the Quakers. His motor ran constantly. Perkins is also evidently sharpening his face-up skills.

Jalen Rougier-Roane is a 2025 prospect from Sidwell who we will probably hear more about moving forward. He looks the part but also backs it up. Rougier-Roane hit 2 of 4 treys against John Marshall.

[player_tooltip player_id="904642" first="Jared" last="Turner"]’s passing ability is uncommon. In each game, he will make two or three passes that jump off the page. It felt like Turner made all the right plays, both offensively and defensively, to help his team shift the momentum after facing an early hole.

Nick Evans boosted his profile after his performance against St. John’s. He continues to improve as he gains confidence. Evans has the length you cant teach to go along with his soft touch.

[player_tooltip player_id="962789" first="Davin" last="Cosby jr"]. stayed true to form on Saturday. In two games, he averaged 23 points while shooting a combined 9 of 17 from three. Cosby did have a couple of clean looks, but he showcased the ability to consistently create off the bounce as well as get to the hole and finish.
