Grant Stubblefield, 6’1 PG, Blue Valley Northwest, 2023: Was strong on both ends of the floor in the two games I watched. Controlled tempo and handled the ball at a high level. Has a strong frame and changed of pace to him and gets going down hill in straight lines. Hit some big time shots off the dribble and off of screens in their games during the day. He rebounds and defends the ball as well.
David Corbin, 5’9 PG, Desoto, 2024: An up and coming point guard in the Kansas ranks with a ton of upside and ability. His quickness and aggressiveness stood out, and should have a ton of minutes on the table for him at Desoto this upcoming season. Hit a really tough step back 3, pestered the ball in the full court, and was effective in transition. The future is bright here with Corbin.
Trevor Mcbride Trevor Mcbride 6'2" | CG Basehor Linwood | 2022 State KS , 6’2 PG, Basehor-Linwood, 2022: Was really rolling in the morning session, shooting the ball effectively, moving without the ball, and getting to spots off the bounce. Displayed a wide variety of his offensive game, both as a point guard and off the ball as a cutter. Threw a couple of big time dimes to back door cutters and guys running lanes in transition that led to easy buckets.
Tre Richardson, 5’10 PG, Highland Park, 2023: Really athletic and compact point guard who uses his athletic ability to effect ball games. Really good on ball defender and can be aggressive without fouling or putting himself out of position. Good finisher on both sides of the rim off the bounce and displayed toughness playing in tight windows.
Jordan Brown Jordan Brown 6'2" | SG St Francis | 2022 State GA , 6’3 Guard, Free State, 2022: In the afternoon session, he burned the nets down from behind the three point line. Shot it at a high clip, advanced the ball up the floor to guys running, and was engaged on the defensive end. Free State really turned it on in the afternoon session and Brown’s early three point barrage seemed to help ignite them.
Cooper Jackson Cooper Jackson 6'0" | PG Free State | 2022 State KS , 5’11 Point Guard, Free State, 2022: The ever steady presence for Free State, Jackson was consistent throughout the day in the games I watched. He made a ton of plays on the defensive end, causing turnovers, stealing the ball, deflecting the ball off of guys. Made a really nice rip drive baseline pull up jumper attacking a hard closeout and knocked down shots off the catch.
