Check out the moves made by the following players (Note the number of spots a player rose is affected by new entries to the list):
Jimmy Dorsey Jimmy Dorsey 6'6" | SG Wellsville | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-5 shooting guard, Wellsville – 10 spots (#68 to #62):
Dorsey had a huge year at Wellsville scoring the ball. A long athlete who plays a guard/forward hybrid, Dorsey can score from deep and has the size and skill to dominate in the lane. He earned third-team 3A, bursting into the top wings in the state with 20.1 points per game, leading Wellsville to a state tournament berth.
Emmitt Jueneman Emmitt Jueneman 6'1" | SF Hanover | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-1 small forward, Hanover – #79 to #74 (11 spots):
Leading your team to a state title will get you a bump in the rankings. Jueneman was one of the best players in the small school ranks, earning first-team 1A Div. 2. He posted a versatile 18.3 points, 4.0 assists and 3.6 steals per game. He’s off to a good start this spring, leading the Showtime 2022 club.
Trever Quaney Trever Quaney 6'8" | C Burlingame | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-8 center, Burlingame – #105 to #75 (40 spots):
Claiming the prize for the biggest jump is Quaney, who will be one of the top centers in the state next year, particularly in the small school ranks. The big man jumped 40 spots by dominating with 11.9 boards and 16.3 points a game last year. He’s a physically intimidating and athletic big who blocks shots and wreaks havoc in the lane.
Carson Kieffer Carson Kieffer 6'1" | PG Hays | 2022 State KS , 6-foot point guard, Hays – #84 to #77 (15 spots):
Hays was one of the best teams in the state last year, and it took powerhouse Topeka West to finally hand them a loss. Running the show, getting everyone to click was point guard Kieffer. His stats don’t tell the story of what he does for his team, although 6.5 assists per game should give you an idea what Kieffer does. His Western Kansas Elite coaches raved about his leadership and toughness during the spring.
Fred Criqui Fred Criqui 6'7" | C St. Marys | 2022 State KS , 6-foot-7 center, St. Marys – #93 to #86 (16 spots):
As part of a balanced and deep St. Marys team, Criqui doesn’t always rack up huge stats. But his club coaches at SSA Hoops Elite attest to the impact he had during the spring. Playing against some top regional competition, Criqui has more than held his own. He had some really great moments, including 27 and 22 points in matchups with rival Silver Lake.
