The 2022 rankings in the state of North Carolina have been updated following the spring grassroots season. Here's a look at Part III of the New Faces in the rankings.

No. 98 [player_tooltip player_id="1149131" first="Landon" last="King"] | 6'1 Shooting Guard

King is an emerging sharpshooter with a ton of promise in the 2022 class. He's been a face in the York County Legends backcourt that's had his way on the grassroots scene knocking down shots on the perimeter and creating tough finishes off the bounce. He's a face at Independence due for a breakout senior year.

No. 105 [player_tooltip player_id="1123942" first="Jake" last="McTaggart"] | 6'7 Power Forward

McTaggart is a power forward with a ton of skill and athleticism, after all, he's a two-sport athlete that excels on the hardwood and gridiron with football. He's got nice mobility and uses his frame to make his presence felt in the paint on both ends in the frontcourt. He'll be a prospect to get eyes on this summer on the grassroots scene with the Atlanta Timberwolves 2022 - White.

No. 113 [player_tooltip player_id="1156049" first="Xavier" last="Whitaker"] | 6'1 Guard

Whitaker is an emerging combo guard that's made waves on the grassroots scene with Team CBE this spring already. He uses his strength well to operate off the bounce and get to his spots on the floor on all three levels. On the defensive end, he applies pressure full court and looks to create easy opportunities on the fastbreak by forcing turnovers.

No. 115 [player_tooltip player_id="1143111" first="Leon" last="Nahar"] | 6'9 Forward/Center

Nahar is a versatile stretch-forward prospect that can impact the game in a variety of ways. He's not afraid to step on the perimeter and create mismatches as a shooter r or playmaker, either. As he puts on more size and shows he can be a consistent paint presence, look for his name to grow some more in the state.
