Undiscovered Showcase: Parham’s Top Performers

<p>This weekend we saw some of the best unsigned seniors in the state of Illinois showed their skills in front tons of college coaches. Here are the top performers from the <strong>Undiscovered Showcase</strong>. Look out for another article highlighting more prospects from this event later this week.  </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="821763" first="Jakobi" last="Heady"]       Hillcrest            6’7</strong></p> <p>The uber athletic wing as has been showing out on our Prep Hoops Circuit this spring and at the Undiscovered Showcase he continued to put together some good games. Jakobi was spectacular making threes from each side of the court. He is very long and bouncy with a nice handles getting to the rim and scores with ease. Heady was active on defense as well using length to detour passes and shots. He rebounded well and pushed the ball in transition when opportunity presented itself. Jakobi was one of the players all the coaches needed to see in person and they got some of their questions answered with a very consistent showing. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Tyler Showers      Brother Rice  6’3</strong></p> <p>Showers was one of the better players from the morning session. He’s a strong off guard who can shoot it and play around the rim at times. Tyler had a couple plays where he bullied smaller guys and just scored through them at the rim. On defense he rebounded well and didn’t seem uncomfortable if switched on a forward or quick PG. One major aspect was his IQ of the game. He didn’t seem to force any action if it wasn’t there. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Jaden Robinson     U-High(TX) 6’5</strong></p> <p>Robinson is an out of state guy who got everyone’s attention for the plays he made above and around the rim. College ready body with next level athleticism. Jaden can affect a college game right now with his ability to rebound and block shots. He has great timing and good hands. On offense he can become an undersized stretch big man unless he fine tools his handles and then he can move to a 3 and D wing which is coveted all over the country.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="821772" first="Christian" last="Henry"]     St.Rita  6’1 </strong></p> <p>I was expecting to see a more flashier style of play from Henry in this showcase setting instead we got a well poised PG who contributed in multiple ways. Christian had his shot falling making multiple three pointers throughout the second session. When he didn’t get his own shot Henry got teammates open in the flow of the game showing tons of maturity in an open gym setting. Christian competed on the defensive side beating opposing guards to the spot they wanted to dribble and kept good pressure on them. Many coaches liked the way he competed and definitely have him on a short list. </p> <p>We will have more from other prospects of the Undiscovered Showcase later in the week.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
