OSA 15U 3SSB
CJ Mitchell CJ Mitchell 5'10" | PG Omaha Westside | 2024 State NE
One of the smoother players you’ll find at the 15U level, CJ found his way to the rim all afternoon using his tight handle and change of pace. He dialed up the right spin and english over and over again, finishing off the wrong foot and from awkward angles.
Kevin Stubblefield
I had my first look at Stubblefield this weekend, and I was impressed with his motor and physical profile. He is one of the better rebounders in his class, and the best on his team. On a team made up mostly of guards and wings, his presence inside is welcome. When he rips it down, he can handle it and move well enough to start the break himself. Look out for Kevin in our next rankings update.
Rickey Loftin Rickey Loftin 6'0" | SG Westside | 2024 State NE
The Omaha South combo guard was a steadying force for OSA on the defensive end. He moves his feet well, and had a few impressive blocks after mirroring his man’s drive. He was the beneficiary of some great ball movement, and when the ball was swung to him he knocked down those threes in a good rhythm.
16U OSA 3SSB
Maal Jal Maal Jal 6'4" | SF Papio South | 2023 State NE
Jal is a springy wing with a great motor, and did great work on the glass in each of his shifts. He can handle it well, and pass it a bit in the open floor, too. He doesn’t venture outside the paint on offense, but can get easy points off putbacks and with his quick feet.
Brennon Clemmons Jr.
Clemmons Jr. bounced back from a poor shooting performance in Lincoln on Friday, bringing a little better touch to the floor on Saturday. He was dominant on the glass, as he often is. His effort in that department led to several easy putbacks and even more trips to the free throw line, where he converted a good percentage of his opportunities.
17U OSA 3SSB
PJ Davis PJ Davis 6'2" | SG Omaha Central | 2022 State NEThe Omaha Central product pushed the pace and attacked the basket. He used his size to wall off defenders and create lanes to pass and drive. It only takes a slight bump from Davis to knock most defenders off their mark, and he did a nice job of quickly taking advantage of those openings. His point of attack defense was solid in both games, too.
