Thanks to Senate Bill 128, players can effectively have a "do over year" for academics and athletics. Not every school district has adopted the policy but here’s a look at some of the more prominent Seniors who will be Seniors again this fall. I’m sure there are more (there are rumors that Elizabethtown’s entire starting lineup is doing the extra year) but as of now, these are the 8 players who were ranked in 2021 and are moving to 2022.

[player_tooltip player_id="922999" first="Dez" last="Lindsay"], Male - A big athletic forward with a high ceiling, Lindsay has D1 size and tools but has suffered from a lack of exposure over his career. He could benefit from the summer evaluation periods with AAU.

[player_tooltip player_id="1142003" first="Chaunte" last="Marrero"], Ballard - Chaunte had to wait a couple of years to get a major role for Ballard and he’s decided he wants to take advantage of the added season. He’s also a football player and that could be his path forward in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id="1069277" first="Andrew" last="Mason"], Bardstown - Mason has a couple of NAIA offers but has elected to stay back for the extra year and try for bigger and better. He played his first 3 years at Thomas Nelson before a transfer last summer. The big wing is another who could impress coaches in July.

[player_tooltip player_id="1022244" first="Tony" last="Moss"], Doss - One of the best players in the Derby City that no one ever mentions, Moss is a big wing forward with a ton of potential. He’s been playing AAU with MATTS Mustangs and will have a chance to showcase his skills at July live periods.

[player_tooltip player_id="923028" first="Camden" last="Pfeister"], Southern - Another player who had an NAIA offer but is opting for the "do over", Pfeister has been having a strong spring AAU season with Hoop Dreams and will look to boost a Southern squad that would have otherwise been rebuilding.

[player_tooltip player_id="1201517" first="Evan" last="Frederick"], Southern - The tallest prospect on this list, Evan is 6’9 and continues to improve his athleticism and overall feel for the game. He was playing with EYBL’s Team Thad when the spring started but not sure if he still is. Regardless, his frame and skill level should excite some colleges this July.

[player_tooltip player_id="923006" first="Jevonte" last="Turner"], Knox Central - One of the best players in the 13th region for the last 3 years, Jevonte was offered by Georgetown College during his Senior season but opted to chase a 4th straight regional title instead. Look for Turner’s athleticism and ball handling to earn him more offers this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="922998" first="Cearius" last="Warren"], Fern Creek - One of the most high potential kids in Kentucky since he was an 8th grader, "King" will stick around for another year at Fern Creek. Warren is long and one of the best athletes in the state. He’s got a chance to earn D1 offers this summer if his motor is running all July long.
