[player_tooltip player_id="1130503" first="Jacorye" last="Favors"], Atlanta Select Elite 17U, 6-5, SG, 2021, Washington (pictured above)

TRAITS: Among the more puzzling available 2021’s still out there with his excellent size and length for the 2-spot, can really drive it at the rim combining strength and great vertical, gets up a head of steam in the open floor and look out, showed off his deep shooting as well and posted games of 28, 24 and 19 in his first 3, certainly falls into the diamond in the rough category to this scout.

Eliyah Stevens, Atlanta Select Elite 17U, 6-5, PF, 2021, SW ATL Christian Academy

TRAITS: ATL Select employs a deep roster of contributors but I couldn’t keep my eyes off the work rate of Stevens all weekend, every time he was on the floor he was cleaning the glass at both ends and getting timely finishes near the basket, just fought hard every game and was the kind of effort guy coaches love.

Parker Axam, COD Elite 17U, 5-10, PG, 2022, Decatur

TRAITS: One of the weekend’s top lights-out shooters from 3-pt land, quick release and confident stroke, good speed off the bounce to create space for himself or find gaps to seek others, nice lead guard instincts and doesn’t force the action, his shooting prowess alone is worth a look.

Jacob Ruark, COD Elite 17U, 6-1, SG, 2023, Decatur

TRAITS: There were subtle notes about the way Ruark playing up a division performed that kept standing out to me, superb effort and energy guy, showed some skill with the ball particularly in the mid-range and in closer, frankly reminded me of an earlier and smaller version of [player_tooltip player_id="1130503" first="Jacorye" last="Favors"] (above) with some athleticism and craftiness on O with lots of positive room to grow his game.

Brandon Brown, East Georgia Panthers 17U, 5-11, PG, 2021, Evans

TRAITS: My look-in on the 17u’s was interrupted but Brown showed both a nice 3-point shooting stroke and good instincts getting to the basket with his stout frame, what was undoubted was how both the 15U and 17U teams represented well the unsung talent-depth of the Augusta-area schools.

Antonio Heath Jr, East Georgia Panthers 15U, 6-2, SF, 2024, Hephzibah

TRAITS: Impressive-looking athlete, serious vertical, was a glass cleaner in the game I saw with sticky hands, a tad raw offensively but the athleticism was tantalizing and the 4-spot is his destination if he can grow to 6-5 or more, seems like a clay fixture that can be molded into something really intriguing.

Braxton Brown, GAA 15U, 5-7, PG, 2024, Dutchtown

TRAITS: Clever scorer who showed off a nice stroke from 3, head up on the push, undersized but doesn’t mind going at the rim, good hands on D and pressured the ball well.

Cameron Thompson, GAA 15U, 6-3, PF, 2024, Dutchtown

TRAITS: Big frame allowed him to bang effectively, still showed off pretty nimble feet and a nice pair of hands, tough finisher in close who was excellent at getting to the FT-line through contact.
