Tuesday is a big day in the recruiting world. It will be the first time that prospects can visit college campuses in well over a year as the NCAA lifts the dead period. There are quite a few 2022 prospects in the state who are primed to take visits. Check them out below!

[player_tooltip player_id="771516" first="AJ" last="Casey"] (Whitney Young)

The top rising senior is ready to get things rolling! Casey tells PHI that he will be taking his first official visit to Ohio State from June 6th to June 8th. That is currently the only visit he has set up at this time. The last time a power forward held the top spot in the Illinois rankings the Buckeyes landed him in EJ Liddell back in 2019.

[player_tooltip player_id="863582" first="Jaden" last="Schutt"] (Yorkville Christian)

The top wing in the 2022 class also has plans to visit a Big 10 program in June for an official visit. The elite shooter will visit Michigan State on June 18-19 for an official. Two interesting aspects to this one. First his former Illinois Wolves teammate [player_tooltip player_id="529033" first="Max" last="Christie"] is already enrolled for the Spartans and second is this is during the first high school live period weekend so you know the Spartans are serious! Schutt also tells PHI that he has an unofficial visit lined up for June 7th to Illinois to see the in-state Big 10 program.

[player_tooltip player_id="863585" first="Xavier" last="Amos"] (Whitney Young)

Another Dolphins power forward that is coming off a strong spring with Team Rose with take in a local school. Amos tells us he will be visiting Loyola on June 15th unofficially.

[player_tooltip player_id="1106926" first="Justin" last="Mullins"] (OPRF)

Loyola will also get an unofficial visit from another major spring stock riser in Mullins. The Y&R/KL Power 5 wing will trip to the Ramblers on June 17.

[player_tooltip player_id="863583" first="Robbie" last="Avila"] (Oak Forest)

Avila has emerged as an extremely coveted mid-major post prospect that is going to have a heated recruitment over the next few months. The skilled four man will kick it off with Loyola on June 1. He will then head out to Richmond on June 11 and follow that up with Southern Illinois on June 14.

[player_tooltip player_id="863587" first="Jalen" last="Quinn"] (Tuscola)

The name that keeps coming up among mid-major and high-major coaches they are most looking forward to getting on campus along with seeing during the June live periods is this Tuscola point guard. The state’s top floor general tells PHI he has trips set to Loyola June 2, St. Louis June 5, Belmont June 10, Southern Illinois June 17, and Marquette June 22. UIC will also get a visit that is yet to be scheduled.

[player_tooltip player_id="863631" first="NJ" last="Benson"] (Mt. Vernon)

The top post player from southern Illinois is gaining momentum in his recruitment and that is shown in his visit list. Benson will trip to Butler on June 3, Ohio on June 13, and Illinois State on June 15. South Dakota State and Southern Illinois are also in the mix for potential visits in June.

[player_tooltip player_id="863605" first="Justin" last="King"] (Mascoutah)

Speaking of standouts from the 618 this metro east guard has a pair of visits lined up. He will be visiting Radford who recently offered on June 10 and then follow it up with a trip to Southern Illinois on June 14. Also has set up a visit to Lipsomb for June 17.

[player_tooltip player_id="996060" first="Caden" last="Pierce"] (Glenbard West)

The skilled Pierce is a prospect that high academic east coast schools have been monitoring for a year. Four will get him on campus in June along with a local power. Between June 3rd and 5th he will take visits to Boston University, Brown, Northeastern, and Holy Cross. He also will be on campus at Loyola on June 24.

[player_tooltip player_id="863619" first="Ben" last="VanderWal"] (Timothy Christian)

Vander Wal is going to see a nice bump in our June rankings update after a dominant spring with Breakaway as an elite shooter and improved all-around player. He has trips set for Valparaiso on June 1, Loyola on June 10, and Lipscomb on June 14.

[player_tooltip player_id="996062" first="Zach" last="Cleveland"] (Normal Community)

Cleveland might be the biggest stock riser in the state as he will see a massive jump in the next rankings update. The skilled face up four man who runs with the Illinois Hoopstars on the Prep Hoops Circuit has several visits lined up. SIU-Edwardsville on June 3, Belmont on June 11, Liberty June 13, Wofford June 21, Loyola on June 28, and Southern Illinois on June 30. He will be racking up the frequent travel miles this month!

[player_tooltip player_id="925224" first="Nick" last="Martinelli"] (Glenbrook South)

Anyone who reads this site knows how big of fans our staff is of this Meanstreets combo forward. Super skilled, efficient, and productive! Martinelli will have to be efficient with his time as he has a massive June visit schedule lined up. He will trip to Valparaiso on June 2, St. Thomas on June 4, Rice will get a visit June 12, Belmont on June 22, and possibly one to Vanderbilt while he is in Nashville as well. Others he plans on visiting without set in stone takes are Elon, Southern Illinois, and Drake.

Trey Pettigrew (TBD)

Pettigrew was electric with the Mac Irvin Fire in Indy two weeks ago at Havoc in the Heartland. The nationally ranked lead guard tells PHI that he will be making trips to Penn State on June 11, Northwestern on June 14, and Loyola on June 22.

[player_tooltip player_id="925183" first="Braden" last="Huff"] (Glenbard West)

This uber skilled lefty four man is a no doubt top 5 player with high-major ability. He tells PHI that he will be taking trips to three schools in July. Northwestern on June 3, Virginia Tech on June 13, and Wisconsin on June 17.

[player_tooltip player_id="863588" first="Kam" last="Craft"] (Buffalo Grove)

Craft might have had the best spring of any single prospect in the state! He was dominant with Meanstreets in April and May with his scoring from all three levels. Xavier will get the first opportunity to get him on campus for an official visit on June 6-8. Will also trip to Marquette on June 9 for an unofficial visit.

Donavon Jones (Solorio)

One of the best scoring point guards in the class will be taking a pair of trips in June. His coach tells us that Drake will get a visit on June 23 followed by one to SIU-Edwardsville on June 24.

[player_tooltip player_id="771544" first="Christian" last="Meeks"] (Tinley Park)

The high energy forward from Tinley Park tells PHI he is taking an unofficial visit to SIU-Edwardsville on June 30.
