A-Town Showdown: Day 2 17U Top Performers

2022 5-11 G [player_tooltip player_id="1192665" first="Terrence" last="Moore"] – Georgia Vision

When Georgia Vision needed a bucket, the ball was in [player_tooltip player_id="1192665" first="Terrence" last="Moore"]’s hands. Moore poured in 26 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block in a come from behind victory. The Vision erased a 17-point deficit to stun Atlanta Select Elite 72-69 in overtime. Moore is a strong compact guard with a lethal three-point shot. He’s a good driver that can absorb contact when getting to the rim. Overall, Moore is a well-rounded scorer. Expect him to have a breakout senior season.

2022 6-6 W [player_tooltip player_id="1192663" first="Mekhi" last="Witter"] – Georgia Vision

[player_tooltip player_id="1192663" first="Mekhi" last="Witter"] put the Georgia Vision on his back in overtime, hitting four clutch free throws and grabbing offensive rebounds to secure the win. He’s an interesting prospect. Witter is a versatile inside-out type player that excels at rebounding and finishing inside. He can attack off the dribble and occasionally space the floor with his outside shooting. His stock is rising after an 18-point 10-rebound performance.

2022 6-1 G [player_tooltip player_id="1050046" first="Ahmed" last="Soumahoro"] – Quiet Storm

Quite possibly the best athlete in the entire event, [player_tooltip player_id="1050046" first="Ahmed" last="Soumahoro"] is a pogo stick on the floor. He is a freakish athlete that looks to dunk everything once he gets a head of steam going downhill. Soumahoro is a crafty driver that can hang in mid-air and finish with either hand. Ahmed has a nice three-point shot that balances his arsenal. Soumahoro has upside as a perimeter defender with his lateral quickness and ability to erase any shots at the rim. He has the tools to flourish at the next level.

2022 6-2 G Jordan Decuir – Hustle Hard Elite

Another impressive athlete, Jordan Decuir isn’t afraid of flying. He takes lift off with bad intentions for the rim as he explodes to the hoop. Decuir shouldn’t have much of an issue physically transitioning from high school to college in a year. As far as his game goes, he’s a strong driver that draws contact inside. Defensively he shines with his quick instincts. He recorded 17 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals in a win over AYSA.

2022 6-3 G Troy Dunn – Hustle Hard Elite

Troy Dunn can play either the 2 or 3 and is at his best when catching and getting to the rim. He does a good job squaring his shoulders on baseline drives and powering through the defense for buckets. Much like Decuir, Dunn is an imposing guard that can overpower defenders. He tacked on 15 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals in a win Saturday.

2022 6-3 W Ty Crockett – NME

The dual-sport athlete from Kell broke out his three-point shot on Saturday, sinking four trifectas against Tri-City Elite to finish with 15 points and 4 rebounds. It’s easy to tell that Crockett is a football player with his chiseled frame. Usually more of a slasher, Crockett’s outside shooting gives him an impressive new dimension to his game.

2022 6-5 F [player_tooltip player_id="1192666" first="Nicholas" last="Wadley"] – NME

The long and gangly forward competed well inside with 13 points and 9 rebounds. He has a good nose for the ball and is in the mix for 50/50 chances. Wadley sticks on the offensive glass and earns putbacks. He showcased a nice hook shot in the lane and even stretched out to hit a three vs. Tri-City Elite.
