Michael Wolf Michael Wolf 6'0" | PG Regis Jesuit | 2021 State CO — Give Sports 17U
You know what you are going to get with Wolf. A very confident guard with one of the purest jumpers in the state and a guard that can score in bunches. He is a strong guard that makes zip passes and rotates the ball well. He finishes in traffic, is creative around the rim and when his feet are set, just get back on defense. Wolf had multiple 3-pointers in the game and kept the offense flowing. He is a difficult guard to contain and pushed the lead with his baskets.
Amondo Miller Amondo Miller 6'6" | CG Valor Christian | 2021 State CO — RoughRidersGive
Miller has excellent size at 6’5 and is a score-first guard that plays well off of the ball. He can also attack with the ball in his hands and create for himself off the dribble, and we saw that in his first game. Miller is a downhill attacker that knows his way around the basket. He uses his body to push off defenders, is a versatile defender, and also is a playmaker that gets others involved. He was not scoring in his usual ways, so instead did all of the clean-up duties of rebounding, dishing, and locking down on defense. Miller remains one of the best unsigned seniors in the state.
Kendale Johnson Kendale Johnson 6'5" | SF George Washington | 2021 State CO — Give Sports 17U
Johnson did not play in the first game, but fit in seamlessly in the second game with his team. Johnson is a 6’4 guard with excellent size that stands out but has a soft jumper from deep. Johnson is a difficult player to guard because his size forces bigger and slower players to have to guard him, and he has his way with them. Johnson moved off of the ball, and spaced the floor with his outside shot. When he decides to get inside and attack the rim, he is a load, and he mixed it up a bit on Day 1.
Deangelo Horn Deangelo Horn 6'5" | PF Rock Canyon | 2021 State CO — Give Sports 17U
Horn’s athleticism has gotten forgotten about as he has started to look like a more complete player, but in Give’s first win of the day, he quickly reminded everyone of that athleticism with insane finishes through traffic. One dunk got the crowd on its feet as he soared over unsuspecting defenders. He spaces the floor with his outside shot, always happens to be at the right spot for easy lay-in finishes after rebounds, and also runs the lanes for entertaining finishes. Horn, at his best, is one of the top players in the state and his aerial attacks were some of the most entertaining parts of the day.
AJ Kula AJ Kula 6'5" | CG Valor Christian | 2021 State CO — Give Sports 17U
Kula does a bit of everything as he glides to the rim for easy finishes, blows by defenders for runners, and also knocks down the corner-3 as well as anybody in the state. Kula has unlimited range but also is a difficult player to corral. He has excellent size at 6’5 and allows the game to come to him as well. When he is in a zone, he is something to watch as guards have a hard time with his length. He finishes above the rim in the open court, and we saw a few two-handed dunks that gave his team some momentum.
