We’re back! After a long hiatus thanks to COVID-19 making this winter extremely challenging for both high school and college programs, we now have some sort of normalcy in the recruiting game after AAU has officially tipped off. The NCAA announced that the dead period will end on June 1, so while college staffs are still limited to watching live streams or old film, there’s been an uptick in recruiting news over the week that I’ll break down.

2021 Mount St. Joseph forward [player_tooltip player_id="902051" first="Sean" last="Carr"] announced his commitment to Salisbury. The 6-foot-6 forward is coming off of a productive senior season for the Gaels where he was the paint presence on both ends. Carr spent last spring and summer polishing his game and body, which allowed him to become one of the premier forward in the MIAA/BCL. Carr drew interest from several programs from the Division II and Division III level. He held one offer from Chestnut Hill, but in the end chose Salisbury where he should become an immediate impact for head coach Mo Williams.

OFFERS

2022 Archbishop Spalding/Team Melo forward [player_tooltip player_id="837927" first="Cameron" last="Whitmore"] received an offer from Wake Forest over the weekend after being a standout performer at Team Final’s "The Scrimmage." The 6-foot-7 forward displayed his versatility as a scorer, his value as a defender and his edge as a competitor when facing two NBA prospects in Jalen Duren and Dereck Lively. Whitmore now has 17 total offers.

2022 Prospect U point guard Rowan Brumbaugh picked up two offers since his performance over the weekend at Team Thrill/The Circuit’s Spring Showcase from Seton Hall and Mississippi State. Brumbaugh is a 6-foot-3 floor general who scores and distributes with balance. He has high basketball IQ and brings the toughness that any coach would like in their point guard. Brumbaugh is up to 19 offers in total.

2023 Poly/Team Durant wing [player_tooltip player_id="957019" first="Kwame" last="Evans"] received an offer from Texas head coach Chris Beard earlier this week. Evans helped lead his team to the E1T1 Invitational championship in Florida over the weekend and continues to prove himself as a top-10 prospect in the 2023 class. The 6-foot-9 southpaw now boasts 20 offers in total.
