Growing up in Connecticut I have a strong appreciation for the showcase that was held last Friday by the Connecticut Elite Basketball program. The northeast has always been a hotbed for talent and coaches from all levels were in for a treat.

[player_tooltip player_id="1081748" first="Isaiah" last="Sullivan"], 6’6" WF, Notre Dame Prep (West Haven) - The best long-term prospect at the event played at a different level. The athletic wing has a wiry frame which aides his ability to easily finish at the rim. He’s quick off the floor and in transition. He has outstanding hands and footwork in addition to his overall skillset. He will continue to polish his game at Notre Dame Prep after attending Bassick HS.

[player_tooltip player_id="1081854" first="Walt" last="Andrews"], 6’3" G, Rocky Hill Country Day - Sturdy built guard who uses his speed, quickness, and strength to get to his spots. The crafty ball-handler uses his shiftiness to keep defenders off balance. Walt remains one of the best prospects in the area.

[player_tooltip player_id="1081818" first="Avery" last="Hinnant"]. 6’6" F, Naugatuck HS - Avery uses his length and strong build to finish efficiently in the paint. I noticed the size of his hands which helps him move the ball from defenders gathering enough space to exploit matchups. Avery, being one of the best prospects in the gym, didn’t disappoint.

Jayquan Kirkland, 6’4" W, Stratford HS - Athletic wing with a ton of bounce. Quick twitch athlete who finishes well above the rim. Plays well in the open court and showcases outstanding basketball instincts.

Mysonne Pollard, 6’3" G, Stratford HS - High-level athlete and lob catcher. He finished well off the dribble showing his ability to penetrate aggressively and finish at the rim. He also shot the ball well throughout the night catching the eyes of many college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id="1081893" first="Ese" last="Onakpoma"], 6’3" G, Naugatuck HS - A long wiry athlete who can finish at the rim. He has the size and defensive instincts to defend multiple positions.

Charlie Randall, 6’10" F, Mamaroneck HS - Charlie is a highly skilled prospect with a soft touch in the paint along with the ability to extend his game. Charlie’s feel was on display throughout the night, he passes the ball well and never seemed to be in a hurry. Berkshire School will be getting an outstanding prospect.

Rhodia Perry V, 5’11" G, New London Science & Tech - He played exceptionally well in transition as a primary ball-handler or filling lanes. The sturdy point guard was able to get into the lane and draw a number of fouls throughout the night.

Rodney Cook, 5’11" G, Amistad HS - One of the better shooters at the event who didn’t allow his size to hinder his performance. He’s a decent athlete who plays with a ton of confidence but he’s also capable of playing off the ball showcasing effectiveness as a cutter and spot-up shooter.

Jahvon Mythril, 6’0" G, Holy Cross/Notre Dame Prep - Sneaky athlete who has improved physically. He played in attack mode throughout the night. He shot the ball well from three and used his strong build to get downhill finishing through contact. He also showcased his ability to see the floor and make a ton of eye-catching passes.
