Team Notes from Coach Travis Hoeg:
“Quite honestly there are a lot of unknowns about this team as none of them have ever really played together before. That said, we are loaded with young men who have some serious basketball skills in relation to their positions and I am extremely excited to coach this squad this year. If these guys can figure each other out early, buy into the defensive philosophy, and sprint in transition they should be a really fun team to watch. I know we have guys that take pride in their defensive matchups and are “we” players not “me” players. I look forward to playing some of the best teams in the Midwest and seeing where we stack up.”

Comments from Coach Travis Hoeg:
Carson Eggert Carson Eggert 6'4" | PG Valley City | 2024 State ND (2024) |5-8 G| Valley City – A very crafty point guard who sees the floor well and reads defenses like a hawk. He is very good in ball screen situations, able to read the defense, and reacts on point. Shoots the long ball exceptionally well and is smooth going to the rack.
Lewis Jones (2024) |5-8 G| Goodridge/Grygla (MN) – Strong and explosive guard who will be the energizer guy for this team. He excels on defensive, is able to stay in front of guys with his quickness, and overpower guards with his strength. He is a hard guy to stop on the bounce and is a strong finisher through contact.
Jaxson Miller Jaxson Miller 5'9" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2024 State ND (2024) |5-9 G| West Fargo Sheyenne – A very athletic player who makes great decisions with the ball in his hands. He has a motor that does not ever seem to tire and can literally wear kids out. He plays great in your face defense and has multiple moves attacking the rim. He has become a legitimate threat from long range as well.
David Shilling David Shilling 6'3" | SF Fargo North | 2024 State ND (2024) |6-2 F| Fargo North – A gifted athlete who has all the tools to be a major contributor to this team. He is bouncy, runs the floor well, and can finish above the rim. He is a tenacious rebounder who loves to compete for the ball. His ability to slash to the rim and finish is excellent.
Andrew Jablonski Andrew Jablonski 6'4" | PF Bismarck Legacy | 2024 ND (2024) |6-3 F| Bismarck Legacy– A long and lanky player who uses those attributes to the fullest extent. He is athletic around the rim and always seems to be in contention for rebounds. He has the ability to stretch the floor with his shooting but really likes to get to the rack on the bounce.
Lucas Kupfer Lucas Kupfer 6'5" | SF Bismarck Legacy | 2024 State ND (2024) |6-3 F| Bismarck Legacy – Another long and lanky player who is always looking to outwork his opponent. He runs the floor exceptionally well and can fill it up quickly from outside or on the bounce and above the rim. He is a great defender, using his length to create havoc in passing lanes and around the rim.
Everett Nelson (2025) |6-2 G| Marshall County Central (MN) – A hard-nosed kid who defends and rebounds with authority. For a young player, he understands tempo, when he should shoot and when he should move the ball around to help create for others. He is very active around the rim and can score in a multitude of ways.
Peter Havelka Peter Havelka 6'6" | PF Fargo Davies | 2024 State ND (2024) |6-4 F| Fargo Davies – Great all-around player who uses his size and length to score on offense and disrupt on defense. He reads the ball off the rim quickly allowing him put backs and defensive rebounds in bunches. He is crafty with the ball around the rim, keeps guys guessing with multiple moves, and can stretch the bigs with a soft touch from the outside.
Logan Conklin Logan Conklin 6'5" | SF Minot | 2024 ND (2024) |6-2 G| Minot – Strong, physical, hard-nosed kid that has some great basketball skills. Can play multiple positions and guard multiple positions, a coach’s dream. He can score inside and outside and just flat out plays with a lot of grit.
