This season ended up being a short AIA season, a full Grind Session season, a condensed CAA season and a longer AAU season with showcase formats.
This 2023 class may be back to normal like the good old days. (We hope!)
We look at the Top-10 SF’s in the 2023 class:
A strong group of 12 all in the Top-51. Many versatile players who can play multiple positions and bring a lot to the table for their schools.
1. Cody Williams Cody Williams 6'8" | SF Perry | 2023 State #25 Nation AZ Perry
-A long and unique player who can play the 1-4. He takes unusually long strides to get into the lane and can finish with his left or right hand. He is a great passer for his size and can make the catch-3. His versatility on defense is what makes him the prospect he is. He defends the PG’s on the perimeter then will go block shots inside vs post players with his crazy length.
2. Arman Madi Arman Madi 6'7" | SF Brophy | 2023 State AZ Brophy Prep
-A highly skilled bigger wing who can really shoot it. He is a natural scorer who can shoot the 3 easily with range. He posts up a little and can fall away. He is versatile to play some 2-4 and defensively he can defend inside and out plus grabs rebounds and block shots.
3. Kevin Patton Jr Kevin Patton Jr 6'8" | SF Mountain Pointe | 2023 #130 Nation CA-S AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)
-A long point forward has a versatile game to play the 1-4. He has next level passing skills and can score it many ways. He has the three plus can use the floater with either hand. He can flush it down on the break and euro his way to the basket. He rebounds out of his area and handles it well.
4. Ky Green Ky Green 6'6" | SF Liberty | 2023 State AZ Dream City
-A long 3 and D type of prospect. He shoots it with consistency in the short corner and will play way above the rim on the break. He is a good passer and defends almost anyone on the court in HS.
5. Trey Brown Trey Brown 6'7" | SF Phhoenix Prep | 2023 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
-A versatile point forward type plays the 1-3. He handles it well and has good size. He makes good reads and makes the catch-3 plus can score it inside through contact or flush it down on the break.
6. Ashton Reese Ashton Reese 6'5" | SG Pinnacle | 2023 State AZ AZ Compass Prep
-Arguably the top standstill shooter in the class. He shoots it quicker then most and is very consistent. He is starting to also put the ball on the floor and create a little. He moves his feet on D and keeps getting better each season.
7. Carter Gittens Carter Gittens 6'5" | SF Sunrise Mountain | 2023 State AZ Sunrise Mountain
-A high-motored forward with athleticism. He crashes the glass in and of his area and loves getting into the lane to score through contact. He is a capable 3pt shooter and will defend multiple positions.
8. Erenzo Scroggins Erenzo Scroggins 6'4" | SF AZ Compass Prep Black | 2023 State AZ McClintock
-A powerfully built forward with one of the better builds in the class. He looks like a linebacker with speed. He plays way above the rim on the break and uses his strength inside to defend bigger post players and is a physical on-ball defender on the perimeter.
9. Torin Bosch Torin Bosch 6'4" | SF Basha | 2023 State AZ Basha
-An athletic wing forward loves attacking off the bounce. He is a tough player who seeks contact and will score through it. He is a cerebral to make plays for others and is another versatile defender.
10. Brandon Trilli Brandon Trilli 6'5" | SF Munster | 2023 State IN Desert Vista
-A cerebral face-up forward. He is crafty, smart and skilled. He loves the elbow jumper and can play off of it. He can rip through and go to work. He fights hard inside to rebound and defends inside and out. His IQ jumps out at you.

1. Dalton Graham Dalton Graham 6'7" | SF Sunrise Mountain | 2023 State AZ Sunrise Mountain
-An unique bigger point forward type. He handles the ball just as good as anyone on the list and makes unselfish passes to teammates. He can hit the 3 off the catch and take it to the cup and finish. Look for him to breakout on varsity next season.
2. Noah Peterson Noah Peterson 6'3" | SG Highland | 2023 State AZ Highland
-Anther unique player is a physical beast inside. He has a good handle to get into the lane and can carve out space. He can use his handle and stronger body/frame to score it inside and can shoot it from the perimeter from mid to the 3. A warrior who will play the 3-5 for the Hawks.
