The new 2022 rankings are out.

This season ended up being a short AIA season, a full Grind Session season, a condensed CAA season and a longer AAU season with showcase formats.

This 2022 class is hoping the same thing doesn’t happen to them as the 2021 class and have a few live periods in the summer. Either Section-7 or AAU tournaments.

We look at the Top-10 SF’s in the 2022 class:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="701227" first="Sadraque" last="Nganga"] AZ Compass Prep

-A talented point forward missed the entire season with a torn ACL unfortunately. He has great size with a next level feel for the game. He rebounds the ball and takes it the length of the court to score it in traffic.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="1032938" first="AJ" last="Storr"] AZ Compass Prep (Pictured)

-A bigger wing shooter with strength. He was pivotal in their first Geico Nationals win with some timely perimeter shots from mid plus the 3. He is best off the catch but can pull-up as well. Storr verbally committed to Illinois.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="827019" first="Ringo" last="Aguek"] Ironwood

-A long and lean forward seems to get better every season. He can shoot the 3, handle the ball and drive it plus rebound out of area.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="936761" first="Nathaniel" last="Knight"] AZ Compass Prep

-An athletic wing had his breakout season last summer. He unfortunately got injured right before the HS season started. He can shoot it, plays above the rim and gets downhill.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="973910" first="Luke" last="Kearney"] SDO

-A highly skilled forward shoots it with range. He has good athleticism and can work some inside. He does prefer shooting it but rebounds well in area and posted a career high 18.8 ppg including 28 pts with 8 3's made vs Boulder Creek.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="827020" first="Trey" last="Phillips"] Eduprize

-One of the top defenders on the list covers a lot of ground. He can defend guards then slide over inside to the post players. He is best scoring inside and a capable deep shooter.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="827016" first="Jason" last="Parent"] Prescott

-A wing who plays nearly every position for the Badgers. He can facilitate for them plus score it. He rises high on his jumper off the dribble and is a good rebounder for position.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="973569" first="Garrison" last="Sherman"] SCA

-Another bigger shooting wing with a clean stroke. He can drive it, shoot the 3, handle it well and make plays. He may be still growing and keep his ball skills.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="827000" first="Dorell" last="Thomas"] Skyline Prep

-A long wing with some bounce. He can make the catch-3 plus play above the rim on the break. He can slash to the basket and brings energy on defense.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="827015" first="Justin" last="Shorts"] Glenview College Prep

-An undersized physical wing loves attacking the basket. He is slowly improving his jumper every year and is a good rebounder and defender.

5 Others:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="809684" first="Timothy" last="Cochrane"] Phhoenix Prep

-An athletic forward jumps out of the building. He is a good passer, has a nice handle and plays way above the rim. He uses his athletic gifts to defend.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="973813" first="Jayson" last="Petty"] Centennial

-Another undersized wing is a consistent shooter. He is a good athlete and plays with a motor. He rebounds in and out of area and he was one of the main reasons they went to the AIA 5A Finals.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="1055860" first="Micah" last="Wilkerson"] Mountain Ridge

-An athletic two-way player is tough on the ball defensively. He avg 2.5 steals per game and is a natural downhill player. He is a little streaky as a perimeter shooter but his length, size and defense are translatable for college.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="1155294" first="Mason" last="Taylor"] Sunnyslope

-A new player popped up this season in the AIA. He was the 6th man for the 6A Champs and came off the bench and was firing away from the 3pt line. He has a sturdy frame and can get on the glass and score it. His shooting should get him a starting spot next season.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="932361" first="Ravion" last="Hodge"] Phhoenix Prep

-A lefty wing forward is a talented scorer. He can shoot it from all levels and defends multiple spots. He is another who unfortunately injured himself and is out for the year. He is re-classing to 2022 because of the injury.
