<h6><strong>Class 5A WPIAL CHAMPIONSHIP:</strong></h6>
<h6>The WPIAL Class 5A Final took place at North Allegheny High School between #2 New Castle and #1 Chartiers Valley. The New Castle Red Hurricanes knocked off the top-seeded Chartiers Valley Colts by a score of 61-45. This was the third meeting between these two programs this season, with both teams splitting the regular-season matchups. At points throughout the contest, the game was close, but New Castle was just too much for the Colts. The Red Hurricanes captured their WPIAL record-breaking 14th title. New Castle has established itself as one of the most consistent winning basketball schools in the state of Pennsylvania. </h6>

<p><strong>CLASS 6A WPIAL CHAMPIONSHIP:</strong></p>

The WPIAL Class 6A Final took place at Peters Township between the number one seed Upper St. Clair and the Pine Richland. The Upper St. Clair Panthers held off the Pine Richland Rams by 56-53. The top classification in the state produced a highly contested game. Both teams were familiar with one another and they continued to fight it out on the court throughout the entire contest. Neither team seemed to be able to pull away. A packed house despite, with COVID protocols, came down to the final seconds as Pine Richland missed two three-pointers in the final ten seconds.</h6>
