Jordan Barnard Jordan Barnard 6'1" | CG Olpe | 2021 State KS , senior, Olpe:
Leading the well-balanced and deep Eagles to the semi-finals was Barnard, going for 12 against Wichita Classical for a 50-30 win. The state football champs are rolling to a second trophy, and Barnard is a big reason why. He averages about 15 per game, with a 20-plus outing here and there.
Damian Foster, junior, Waverly:
Waverly saw its interesting season finally come to a close with a 47-41 loss to Elyria Christian. They lost several games throughout the year, but were ready when the playoffs rolled around. The 5-foot-9 junior Foster tossed in 14 in the loss to Elyria Christian, and had several 20-point games this year.
Jayden Garrison Jayden Garrison 6'2" | CG Little River | 2021 State KS , senior, Little River:
The first-team 1A star as a junior put up some impressive stats and was the heart and soul of the Redskins during successful football and basketball seasons. The 6-foot senior rolled up 25 points in a quarterfinal win over Clifton-Clyde, 56-40. Shooting nearly 40% from deep, Garrison averages 24.2 points per game. He also records 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.4 steals per outing.
Emmitt Jueneman Emmitt Jueneman 6'1" | SF Hanover | 2022 State KS , junior, Hanover:
The 6-2 athlete is the leader of a talented Hanover squad that reached the semi-finals. Jueneman racked up 18 points in win over Beloit-St. Johns 71-37 to advance. Jueneman is a physical and athletic big guard who is always good for between 15 and 20 points, even though he often sits out part of blowouts.
Cooper Wolf, senior, South Haven:
Wolf’s impressive senior season came to a close at the hands of Pawnee Heights, 48-43. The 6-foot guard was held to just 8 points in the loss. But Wolf’s senior season stats leave no question of his worth to South Haven. He averaged 23.7 points and 6.8 boards. He also recorded 2.7 assists and 3.0 steals.
