The start of the spring AAU season is right around the corner with teams preparing for their first weekends of play. The Jersey Shore Predators are in that boat as they have a lot of under the radar players who are ready to break out. Here are some of the top stock risers from their practice yesterday.

[player_tooltip player_id="901983" first="DJ" last="Thomson"], 6’3 PG Keyport 2022

Thomson had a strong showing at the practice as he showed why he has eclipsed 20 points per game over the last two seasons. The 6’3 guard attacked the basket hard as he was able to beat his man off the dribble consistently. Thomson made good decisions with the ball in his hands and showed his ability to run the offense. He did well in the box out drills and was unafraid of pushing the tempo in the game sessions. Thomson is one of the top players in the Shore Conference and should put that on display this spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1051493" first="Jared" last="DeMara"], 6’4 SG St. Augustine 2023

DeMara showed up to practice an hour early, but he still brought the energy throughout the session. The 6’4 guard showed his bounce throughout as he was routinely finishing above the rim. DeMara has a good handle and was able to get to the basket with regularity. He skied for rebounds on both ends and was all over the floor during the game sessions. DeMara is a high energy wing that has the ability to score the ball in multiple ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050398" first="Nick" last="Seeloch"], 5’10 PG Holmdel 2024

Seeloch participated in both practices and was able to make an impact in both. The 5’10 guard has a good shooting stroke as he wastes little motion in his jumper. Seeloch is a good spot-up shooter, but he also can handle the ball on the perimeter. He is an underrated defender and is unafraid of attacking the basket against taller defenders. Seeloch’s ability to knock down triples will be huge for a good Jersey Shore Predators team.

[player_tooltip player_id="1146360" first="Justin" last="Rivera"], 5’10 PG Raritan 2022

Like Seeloch, Rivera stayed for both practice sessions as he was able to stand out in both. The 5’10 guard is a knockdown shooter from deep with a quick release and nice shooting stroke. Rivera can shoot either off the catch or off the bounce as he was burying triples off of ball screens. He moves his feet well on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Rivera should have a strong spring and summer season with the Jersey Shore Predators as he showcases his ability to knock down triples.

[player_tooltip player_id="1146263" first="Matt" last="Solomon"], 6’6 PF Manasquan 2022

Solomon had a strong showing at the practice session as he stood out amongst the forwards there. The 6’6 forward has a nice touch around the basket and is able to get position down low. Solomon showed off this ability to be a stretch four as he knocked down several jumpers from behind the arc and has a nice release. He runs the floor hard and fights for rebounds. Solomon is ready to break onto the scene and it should start with the Jersey Shore Predators this spring.
