Daniel Webster and Victory Christian were No. 3 and 4 in Class 4A, and through two and a half quarters, it appeared as if there was a big gap between the two teams. However, towards the end of the third quarter, Webster flipped a switch and made this game interesting. Webster defeated Victory 56-51.

Tennessee Tech signee [player_tooltip player_id="745357" first="Anthony" last="Pritchard"] flexed his muscles, leading his team from the jump. Pritchard scored 30 points on 8-of-19 shooting and 11-of-16 from the free-throw line.

Victory Christian is a young team that’s clearly built for success in the future. This was just a case where they played one of the most experienced teams in the state with one of the state’s best players and still competed until the end of the game, which is impressive for a young team like the Conquerers.

It wasn’t a situation where Pritchard did everything for Webster, either. The Warriors’ collective effort, specifically on defense, made it taxing for Victory Christian through the majority of the game.

Pritchard led all scorers with 30 points and 7 rebounds, while the Warriors’ Maartwon Taylor scored 10 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.

Victory Christian’s junior Joshua Udoumoh scored 22 points on 9-of-22 shooting and fell just shy of a double-double with 9 rebounds, 8 of which were offensive. Freshman Cedric Hardridge fueled the Conquerers’ comeback with 12 points (9 came in the fourth) on 4-of-9 shooting from three. Their other star freshman, Chris Mason, only scored 8 points on the night but pulled down 17 rebounds before fouling out late in the fourth.

Daniel Webster has an unbelievable talent in Pritchard. Friday will be an entertaining display of stars with [player_tooltip player_id="535625" first="Trey" last="Alexander"] and Heritage Hall facing [player_tooltip player_id="745357" first="Anthony" last="Pritchard"] and Daniel Webster to punch their ticket to the State Championship game on Saturday.
