4A is down to 4 teams and a ton of next level prospects.

Juan Diego Catholic

The #1 team has a mixture of in-state talent as well as foreign players that could play at the next level.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="755618" first="Matt" last="Rohden"]

Matt has a great looking shot from the outside. He doesn’t shoot a lot but he has a shot that can be used as a 4 at the next level. Matt is a D2/NAIA player that could find a home at a NJCAA school as well. With him being an international student from Brazil his options will be limited. He is more athletic and leaner that he was last year. Strong inside with some great post moves. Could be a 3 at the right school.

6’0 SG Matty Rodriguez

Matty is a sharp shooter that is crafty getting to the basket. He has a high IQ. Great spot up shooter with range. Matty is on a visa as well from Chile but he has next level talent. He also plays on his National Team. Would be a great fit at an NWAC if he could get cleared to play there.

6’9 F/C [player_tooltip player_id="1114374" first="Malick" last="Diallo"]

Malick has the raw talent and tools to play at the highest level. He roams the 2-3 zone extremely well and with his wingspan he can really cover ground out on the wings and he recovers so well. His rim protecting ability is elite and on the offensive end he has a nice little shot from deep. Diallo is dangerous if he is not accounted for because it will result in a dunk. Malick is another international student brought in from Mali to help bolster JD’s front-court.

6’6 W/F [player_tooltip player_id="755662" first="David" last="Kinneberg"]

One of the most improved players on the roster as David has provided more skill at the wing/forward position. Great touch around the rim and he runs the floor. David could be an excellent fit at an NWAC or NAIA.

6’0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="755615" first="Talon" last="Valdes"]

The speedy PG is one of the players you plan for but cannot seem to stop.Containing would mean you give up so much more to other players. Talon has that next level talent. He is at his best in an up and down system.

Desert Hills

The Thunder are a team that can hurt you in various ways and they have a few players that can score all over the floor.

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="711289" first="Mason" last="Landdeck"]

Is lighting it up this year. He is almost averaging 3 three-pointers a game and he will need to hit that and more if his team wants to continue to advance. Great prospect that flourished this year.

6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="755651" first="Keegan" last="Munson"]

Keegan is an athlete that likes to play above the rim. Keegan is tough and can finish through contact. He hasn’t been scoring a ton but his solid production is something that should not be ignored. When undersized he does a great job of stepping outside and using his perimeter skills. Could play 3-4 at the next level.

6’1 Reggie Newbie

Reggie can score the basketball and he will need ot continue to shoot the ball at a high percentage to beat the zone he will face. Could be an X-Factor.

Cedar City

Cedar has some talented players and their length can really help them go all the way. This team is deep and funt o watch.

6’8 [player_tooltip player_id="543078" first="Dallin" last="Grant"]

Dallin has been great all year and his outside shooting is tough to defend or stop because of his height. Could be a big time player at the high post moving up out of their or down on the blocks.

6’9 [player_tooltip player_id="933807" first="Luke" last="Armstrong"]

Luke might not provide a lot of scoring but his presence down-low and rebounding/setting screens is enough.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="934519" first="Zab" last="Santana"]

Zab is that wing with length that can handle the ball and also provide help all over the floor. If he is on he is trouble.

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="543097" first="Treyton" last="Tebbs"]

One of the toughest PG in the state. He can score at all three levels and he can control the tempo. He is a sleeper 2021 prospect that has been having an excellent year.

Ridgeline

A lot of people are surprised that Ridgeline is still alive and that they upset the #1 seed. The truth is that Ridgeline is good and they are finally healthy. They have shooting, toughest and athleticism.

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="934474" first="Kaden" last="Cox"]

Kaden is back and healthy. The kid can not only shoot the ball but he can score going to the basket. Great vision and patience. he shooting the ball from deep and we are impressed with his all around improvement.

6’6 [player_tooltip player_id="967688" first="Peyton" last="Knowles"]

If you’re looking for an athletic 3-4 player Peyton is hard to pass up. he does it all and he plays with a high motor. Major stat stuffer and he is fun to watch. Plays with a chip on his shoulders.
