The 2022 class is loaded with talent, especially in the back court. The players at the top of the rankings are getting most of the headlines, but there are players flying under the radar who can shoot up. Here are the top under the radar 2022 prospects who can fly up the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1083343" first="Omarion" last="McNeal"], 6’6 PF Wildwood

McNeal’s stock is rocketing up, but do not expect it to flatten out yet. The 6’6 forward plays with a high motor at both ends of the floor and loves to finish with authority above the rim. McNeal has an underrated handle as he can get to the basket from the perimeter. He is a force on the glass and uses his athleticism to swat shots. McNeal is a high energy prospect who has the ability to make a big jump in the rankings soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013054" first="Tommy" last="Conniff"], 6’10 C Oratory Prep

Conniff had a solid junior season for Oratory, but he has the opportunity to break out in a major way before the start of his senior season. The 6’10 lefty has a good release on his jumper and his range extends to the three-point line. Conniff has a nice touch around the basket and knows how to get position down low. He is a strong rebounder and uses his length to block shots. Conniff is starting to scratch the surface of his potential, which could lead to a big spring and summer AAU season.

Brian Herbert, 6’3 SG Robbinsville

Herbert emerged as one of the better players in the CVC this season and his stock should only be going up. The 6’3 guard is deadly from behind the arc as he can knock down triples in bunches. Herbert moves well off the ball as he knows how to free himself for open jumpers. He is a solid rebounder and an underrated defender who is one of the better guard shot-blockers in the class. Herbert’s ability to knock down triples will be enticing to colleges, which will raise his stock higher.

[player_tooltip player_id="900305" first="Philip" last="Urban"], 6’6 SF Pennington

Urban is slowly seeing his stock rise, but he should see it rise in a big way. The 6’6 forward has a strong frame which he uses to attack the basket hard and draw contact. Urban is athletic enough to finish above the rim and is developing his range. He is a good rebounder and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Urban holds an offer from Clarion and his offer sheet should grow after the spring and summer sessions.

[player_tooltip player_id="1034378" first="Nicholas" last="Barnes"], 6’4 CG Edison

Barnes had a strong junior campaign for Edison, but his stock is only just beginning to rise. The 6’4 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he is unafraid of finishing through contact. Barnes is more than just a slasher as he can knock down open jumpers from the perimeter. He is a solid passer and has the ability to defend both guard spots. Barnes is a skilled combo guard with the ability to fly up the rankings with a strong AAU season.
