5A is very similar to 6A as they have a region that has some tough teams top to bottom, but they also have 1 team that has been lights out from the jump.

Hottest Team

The Timpview T-Birds

When you’re only three losses this season have come to Wasatch Academy, Corner Canyon and Pleasant Grove there is nothing to be ashamed of. [player_tooltip player_id="543075" first="Coleman" last="Ford"], [player_tooltip player_id="755614" first="Jake" last="Wahlin"] and [player_tooltip player_id="934031" first="James" last="Rust"] gave Wasatch Academy everything they could handle. The T-Birds have big wins over Skyridge, Layton and Farmington. This team is a perfect example of what growing up together and playing together can help with chemistry. Even if they slip and loose one in region play they will be a tough out with a lot of experience from top to bottom on the roster.

Hot Team

The Olympus Titans

This team is absolutely dangerous. Jack Wistircill is playing at a high level and [player_tooltip player_id="755622" first="Ben" last="Krystowiak"] is playing very consistent basketball. Luke Smith has been that other guy that can get to the rim and hit shots from outside. The Titans also bring players in off the bench that can really shoot the ball. Olympus is that team that plays on both ends of the floor.

Team Heating Up

The Mountain View Bruins

Earlier in the fall before the season started Mountain View looked good. They had some move in’s paired up with some older players already there and they looked good. They seem to be hitting their stride in a tough region. They rattled off a few huge wins that many thought they had no chance in. 6’8 C [player_tooltip player_id="959020" first="Calvin" last="Gustafson"] has been solid and a load. 6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="959019" first="Preston" last="Thompson"] has also been a player that has been a big reason MV has had so much success.

Consistant Teams

Lehi High School

Lehi has some great guard play and they are dangerous with Noa Gonzalves, [player_tooltip player_id="933805" first="Tyson" last="Hawkins"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1095803" first="Peter" last="Amakasu"].

Alta High School

You can never count out a team lead by [player_tooltip player_id="755620" first="Jaden" last="Brownell"] and some better play from [player_tooltip player_id="968776" first="Jett" last="Lundberg"].

Farmington High School

[player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1042363" first="Caleb" last="Mordue"] are tough players to defend in the perimeter, they will be a fun team to watch at state.
