With the Area Tournament kicking off today all over the state here are my top teams to watch in Class 6A as we journey to Birmingham.

Hartselle:

This choice is obvious for the #1 ranked team in the state with the #1 scorer in "Mr. Walking Bucket" [player_tooltip player_id="613494" first="Brody" last="Peebles"]. Also, look for key contributions from Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="836590" first="Kiah" last="Key"] and Junior [player_tooltip player_id="1129574" first="Luke" last="Ward"].

Pinson Valley:

A lot of people counted out the Indians with the departure of Kam Woods and Ga’Quincy McKinstry. However, with the addition of [player_tooltip player_id="801047" first="Greedy" last="Williams"] and that strong guard play from [player_tooltip player_id="1040678" first="Jojo" last="James"], [player_tooltip player_id="1125846" first="Terry" last="Conner"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1091947" first="Caleb" last="White"] PV looks primed and ready for another run at a Chip.

Huffman:

The defending State Champs are arguably the biggest team in the class with strong inside/outside play from [player_tooltip player_id="886973" first="Jamon" last="Reed"], [player_tooltip player_id="890742" first="Jonathan" last="Murray"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1129573" first="Michael" last="Johnson"]. They hope their grit, toughness, and experience lead them back to the promised land.

Oxford:

Another group that has looked strong all season long. With high-level all-around play from standout Junior [player_tooltip player_id="1066038" first="Rylan" last="Houck"] and the high flying act of dynamic Senior [player_tooltip player_id="962070" first="Justin" last="Moore"], the Yellow Jackets will definitely be in the mix.
