Anton Brookshire Anton Brookshire 6'2" | PG Kickapoo | 2021 State #146 Nation MO – Isaac Haney Isaac Haney 6'1" | CG Kickapoo | 2021 State MO (Kickapoo): An explosive high-scoring backcourt that joined together to play their last year of high school ball together with the ultimate goal of leading the Chiefs to a Class 6 state championship. Both are also staying in-state to play their collegiate basketball as Brookshire is headed to Mizzou while Haney is staying right in Springfield to play at Missouri State.
Desmond White-Malcolm Davis (Helias): A very potent backcourt combination in Mid-Missouri. They are usually good for 40-50 points a game between them, which makes the Crusaders a tough out come postseason time. White is a 6’1″ 2023 combo guard who has really exploded this season with his tremendous three-level scoring ability and ball-hawking defense. Davis is a 2022 shooting guard with a sweet stroke from 3-point range and much improved mid-range game as a compliment.
Drew McMillin-Ahlante Askew (Republic): These two dynamic guards have led the Tigers to an excellent 19-2 record this season. McMillin is a 6’0″ 2021 guard who is one of the top shooters in the state, culminating in his 61-point performance last week in which he made 16 3-pointers. He can hit 3-pointers and attack the basket. He is joined by the 6’1″ 2023 Askew, who is one of the top 2023 guards in the state. Not only can Te knock down 3-pointers and score in big numbers, he is also a tremendous defensive player who can draw charges and pick pockets.
Tony Osburn Tony Osburn 6'2" | CG Mound City | 2022 State MO – Landon Poppa Landon Poppa 6'4" | SG Mound City | 2021 State MO (Mound City): These two talented guards have been getting serious buckets as a duo in NWMO for the past three seasons. The 6’4″ Poppa is an athletic 2021 wing who excels as a mid-range shooter who will also throw down several explosive dunks during a game. The 6’2″ 2022 Osburn is already the school’s career scoring leader. He can pull up from 30 feet and attack the rim and score bunches of points in a short amount of time. They make Mound City is big contender in Class 1.
Kyle Conkright Kyle Conkright 5'10" | SG Ellington | 2021 State MO – Karter Kekec Karter Kekec 6'0" | PG North County | 2021 State MO (North county): When Conkright made the move from Ellington to North County for his senior season, the Raiders became a serious Class 5 contender with this stellar backcourt. The 6’0″ Conkright had to hold the fort for awhile while the 6’2″ Kekec recovered from a football injury. Kekec has back and healthy and the Raiders have been on a roll with their pair of 20-point a night senior guards together for the stretch run.
