<p><strong>SCISA Class 1A: Newberry Academy vs Anderson Christian - At Heathwood Hall (Friday February 26, 2021) </strong></p>
<p>Unfortunately this year Prep Hoops wasn’t able to see Newberry Academy play. The SCISA State Tourney started last Saturday. The Eagles played there first 2 games away from Sumter before playing last night. The Eagles defeated Cathedral Academy 57-52 to advance to the Championship Game today at Heathwood Hall. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927542" first="Payton" last="Gardner"]</strong> led the way with 33 points and 10 rebounds. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1106317" first="Tony" last="McLean"]</strong> added 17 points.</p>

<p>Anderson Christian steamrolled Conway Christian 99-58 last night to move into the Championship Game today. The Lions the 2018 State Champions got revenge on the Eagles from last season in the quarterfinals loss. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="995845" first="Bray" last="Greer"]</strong> led the way with 31 points, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="869623" first="Xavier" last="Thornton"]</strong> came in with 24 points,<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="927527" first="Myles" last="Ulmer"]</strong> 15 points and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927547" first="Mark" last="Jackson"]</strong> added 10 points. The Lions have a senior dominated roster that remain all UNSIGNED. </p>
<p><strong>SCISA Class 2A: Dillon Christian vs Spartanburg Christian - At Sumter Civic Center (Saturday February 26, 2021) </strong></p>
<p>Dillon Christian lost in the semifinals last year to Bethesda Day (GA). The Warriors defeated region rival Pee Dee Academy yesterday 65-56. The Warriors (21-3) will play in its first state championship against the defending state champions Spartanburg Christian Warriors. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="976907" first="Adam" last="Norman"]</strong> a UNSIGNED Senior led the way with 14 points,<strong> Colby Thorndyke</strong> 13 points (East Carolina University Baseball commit), [player_tooltip player_id="1108826" first="<strong>Greyson" last="Singletary</strong>"] 12 points and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927544" first="Weston" last="Glassgow"]</strong> added 11 points. Norman is likely to miss the game after picking up 2 technical fouls in the game yesterday. </p>

<p>Spartanburg Christian is back in the State Championship Game after defeating Bethesda Day (GA) 60-55 yesterday. The Warriors (19-7) will rely on <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="746991" first="Bryson" last="Bishop"]</strong> who is averaging 19.6 ppg this season. Bishop currently has over 1,600 career points. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1006296" first="JP" last="Duke"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927578" first="Sam" last="Wheeler"]</strong> <span style="font-size: 1rem;">will be a few names to watch out for in the game. </span></p>
