<p>This month we introduce our updated Class of 2021 rankings!! Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak.  Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser.  Why did we rank these guys?  Why are they at this spot?  Take a look at four Class of 2021 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.</p> <p>Peruse the complete <a href="https://prephoops.com/tennessee/rankings/2021-rankings/">2021 rankings</a>.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><img class="alignleft" src="http://www.clker.com/cliparts/d/1/4/6/11971185311926706097Gioppino_Basketball.svg.thumb.png" alt="Gioppino Basketball clip art" width="17" height="17" /><span style="color: #ff6600; font-family: ’comic sans ms’, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">#216 [player_tooltip player_id="775644" first="Ryan" last="Barber"] (Lookout Valley)</span></span></p> <p style="padding-left: 90px;">Undersized guard with high energy and decent to plus handle.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><img class="alignleft" src="http://www.clker.com/cliparts/d/1/4/6/11971185311926706097Gioppino_Basketball.svg.thumb.png" alt="Gioppino Basketball clip art" width="17" height="17" /><span style="color: #ff6600; font-family: ’comic sans ms’, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">#217 [player_tooltip player_id="775658" first="Justin" last="Sharp"] (Hardin Valley Academy)</span></span></p> <p style="padding-left: 90px;">Justin earned All-District 4AAA last winter and continues to improve.  He earned his very first college offer just this week!  The University of the Cumberlands offered to have Justin join their basketball program.  <br /> <br /> "I went on a visit last week and I just got offered a few days ago," shared Sharp via Twitter DM.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><img class="alignleft" src="http://www.clker.com/cliparts/d/1/4/6/11971185311926706097Gioppino_Basketball.svg.thumb.png" alt="Gioppino Basketball clip art" width="17" height="17" /><span style="color: #ff6600; font-family: ’comic sans ms’, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">#218 [player_tooltip player_id="1116462" first="Trevor" last="Gentry"] (Johnson County)</span></span></p> <p style="padding-left: 90px;">First evaluated early December.  Trevor was facing Cloudland. Here is what I saw: Fast in the open floor.  He can handle and this makes him dangerous when matched against the oppositions forward or power forward. Gentry finished with 17 points and a general demoralizing of the Cloudland travel party.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> <img class="alignleft" src="http://www.clker.com/cliparts/d/1/4/6/11971185311926706097Gioppino_Basketball.svg.thumb.png" alt="Gioppino Basketball clip art" width="17" height="17" /><span style="color: #ff6600; font-family: ’comic sans ms’, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">#219 [player_tooltip player_id="983742" first="Marshall" last="Dukes"] (Tellico Plains)</span></span></p> <p style="padding-left: 90px;">Dukes is an active rebounder with average hops for a college wing.  He is not the shooter that he can be with more reps in the gym outside of practice. Dukes could move a little better when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands. </p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><img class="alignleft" src="http://www.clker.com/cliparts/d/1/4/6/11971185311926706097Gioppino_Basketball.svg.thumb.png" alt="Gioppino Basketball clip art" width="17" height="17" /><span style="color: #ff6600; font-family: ’comic sans ms’, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;">#220 [player_tooltip player_id="775640" first="Bryson" last="Smith"]  (Notre Dame)</span></span></p> <p style="padding-left: 90px;">Elite wing and guard defender. </p> <blockquote> <p><b><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prephoops.com/player/bryson-smith/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="775640" first="Bryson" last="Smith"]</span></a> (Notre Dame ’21) –</b> Bryson is a player once ranked in PrepHoopsTN.  I believe it was in the 80-110 range.  Smith was a very promising prospect in his sophomore season.  That continued somewhat last year, but what made hyping him difficult was the pedantic, methodical offensive sets Notre Dame ran.  Last year, Notre Dame was a nightmare for teams to play because they defended so well.  That is true this year too.  Still, players like Smith do not always shine brightest in the drawn out halfcourt sets, unless they figure out their seams…their moments.  Smith looked stagnant offensively against Cleveland and frankly was largely a non-factor when he touched the ball.  It was frustrating considering his promise as a young athlete.  Can he do more?  Certainly.  But, it remains difficult to fully comprehend his ceiling in this his senior year.</p> </blockquote> <p>Peruse the complete <a href="https://prephoops.com/tennessee/rankings/2021-rankings/">2021 rankings</a>.</p> <p>Follow @CourtneyHoops90 and @AndrewForce8.</p>
