Continue ReadingWith no high school basketball in Nevada, many teams have been forced to get creative in order to compete. The Nevada Small School Showcase is a perfect example of that creativity. Taking place on Saturday, February 13th, the event was a round-robin event featuring teams from the 3A and 2A division of the state. It also featured a number of young prospects. In this article, we take a look at some of the c/o 2023 and 2024 standouts from the event.
- Andre Cade 6’1 SG Toros 2024 – Looks the part. His athleticism and quickness are evident. Good 2nd jump ability will become more effective as he improves his finishing ability.
- Noah Tomlin 6’5 C Toros 2024 – Fluid athlete that runs the floor well. Is active on both backboards. Could become a problem, as he develops his offensive game.
- Trevon Palmer 6’1 SF Toros 2023 – Wide body high motor player. His activity, energy, and effort allow him to contribute. His rebounding is tangible.
- Nate Truman Nate Truman PG Lincoln Co | 2024 NV PG Redcats 2023 – The floor spacer is what I call a whole body shooter. He uses every muscle in his body to get it there, but he proved to be dangerous and accurate when left alone.
- Davin Avery 6’1 SF Redcats 2023 – Floor spacer that knocked down shots in catch and shoot situations.
