In this article we’re going to be taking an in-depth look at the updated 2021 rankings on our website. The senior class has been the focus of mine all season. Colleges are really only recruiting high school seniors at an in-depth level right now. Juniors and Sophomores have fallen behind transfers (seniors have too) for college programs. This article will take a closer look at our updated rankings, highlighting some notes and looking at some major risers.

The top 14 players in our rankings are committed to a college program, [player_tooltip player_id="919011" first="George" last="Mangas"] of Lima Shawnee is the highest ranked uncommitted senior, with [player_tooltip player_id="918962" first="Corey" last="Tripp"] of Medina right on his heels. [player_tooltip player_id="555228" first="TJ" last="Pugh"], [player_tooltip player_id="918967" first="Tasos" last="Cook"] and [player_tooltip player_id="918965" first="Amarion" last="Dickerson"] are the only other players ranked in the top 30 that are uncommitted.

The highest ranked player committed to a Division II program is [player_tooltip player_id="919037" first="Maceo" last="Williams"] at 27th overall, he’ll be continuing his athletic career at Ashland University. [player_tooltip player_id="967136" first="Kobe" last="Rodgers"] is next, as the St Xavier Bomber will be headed south to Nova Southeastern. This continues a history of Nova Southeastern grabbing a high priority recruit from SW Ohio, after signing [player_tooltip player_id="588898" first="Alex" last="Mangold"] last recruiting class. A pair of Hillsdale commits are next in regards to Division II commits, in [player_tooltip player_id="714488" first="Henry" last="Raynor"] and [player_tooltip player_id="805223" first="Cole" last="McWhinnie"].

We had some players completely out of our rankings make huge leaps, [player_tooltip player_id="805202" first="Quincy" last="Clark"], [player_tooltip player_id="1041446" first="Marquis" last="Barnett"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1041445" first="Ian" last="Schupp"] were all un-ranked during our last update and now find themselves in the top 50. All players are scholarship level prospects and should be viewed as priorities for Division II programs around the region. [player_tooltip player_id="1106207" first="Quentin" last="Toles"], [player_tooltip player_id="1106204" first="Isaiah" last="Young"], [player_tooltip player_id="1133376" first="Jamir" last="Billings"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1133377" first="Trey" last="Killens"] were also all un-ranked and now find themselves in the top 100. Each player has enjoyed a breakout senior season.

Among players that were already ranked, [player_tooltip player_id="919019" first="Tyishawn" last="Smiley"], [player_tooltip player_id="805195" first="Marcus" last="Steele"], [player_tooltip player_id="1042164" first="Tyson" last="Elwer"], [player_tooltip player_id="919035" first="Prophet" last="Johnson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="805198" first="Johrdon" last="Mumford"] each saw their ranking climb significantly. Elwer is the only committed prospect among this group, college coaches should be taking a look at each of these players.
