<p>Prep Hoops took in this region rivalry down on the Grand Strand Friday night. This was the first time seeing Conway HS playing this season and the second with the host Braves. The visitors Conway HS Tigers led from start to finish in this game and cruised to a 67-38 region victory. </p>
<p><strong>No Seniors here ! </strong></p>
<p>The Conway HS Tigers have plenty of underclassmen that see good minutes. The Tigers who played in the Class 5A Lower State Championship Game vs Dutch Fork HS. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930614" first="Carlton" last="Terry Jr"].</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930619" first="EJ" last="Huffman"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="948066" first="Jamarious" last="Woodbury"]</strong>, <strong>Cameron Alston</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1016448" first="Devin" last="Grainger"]</strong> were the starters this evening. </p>
<p><strong>Balance Scoring</strong> </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930614" first="Carlton" last="Terry Jr"]</strong> showed some really good flashes tonight of when he was a freshman. Terry was able to get the ball to the rack and finish at the cup and really create some good looks for his teammates tonight. Terry had 14 points in the win. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930619" first="EJ" last="Huffman"]</strong> was hurt with 4:16 left in the 3rd quarter with a ankle injury. Hoffman had 9 points and 9 rebounds when he left the game. Huffman plays the game extremely hard down in the paint and just does all the blue collar things to help you win games. Huffman rebounds the ball very well out of his area and plays with a relentless attitude at all times. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="948066" first="Jamarious" last="Woodbury"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1032749" first="Aiden" last="Brantley"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1016448" first="Devin" last="Grainger"]</strong> all played vital roles in tonight’s win for the Tigers. Woodbury scored 10 points while, Brantley was able to come off the bench and knockdown a few three pointers on his way to 10 points. Grainger a left-handed guard was able to manufacture some points on his way to the rack tonight. Grainger really likes to attack the cup and was the primary ball-handler on the floor for the Tigers when on the floor. Grainger finished with 7 points. </p>
<p><strong>Herrin needs Support</strong></p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927557" first="Mike" last="Herrin"]</strong> a rangy left-handed guard-wing for the Braves finished the night with 20 points. Herrin was able to capitalize on the foul line converting (10-12) shots. Herrin sees the floor well from out top and the perimeter. </p>

<p><strong> [player_tooltip player_id="930620" first="Trey" last="McManus"]</strong> a junior guard finished the night with 8 points after converting a few three pointers. McManus played previously at Boiling Springs HS in the Upstate before coming to the Grand Strand. </p>
<p><strong>No Hop - No Problem </strong></p>
<p>The Conway HS Tigers had Assistant Coach Brandon Anderson coaching the squad last night along. Anderson has coached the past few games for the Tigers with Head Coach Mike Hopkins out. </p>
<p> Conway HS is currently (6-4) on the season now. The Tigers (3-1) in region will now play Carolina Forest HS (4-0) on Wednesday February 10. Socastee HS falls to (5-7) overall and (0-3) in the region. </p>
