The 2021 class still has a ton of talent available for the college ranks. Here’s a look at Part II of the Best Available Guards/Wings in the 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="574470" first="Omarion" last="Blount"] | 6’1 Point Guard | Washington

Blount has been quite the playmaker, facilitator and defender in the Washington backcourt as they’ve won the conference crown and should be a tough out in the state playoffs. He’s a guard with a strong frame and a ton of two-way ability that’s posted 16.6 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.9 spg in the rotation to lead the way in the backcourt. College coaches in need of a strong two-way guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="833162" first="Isiah" last="Golden"] | 5’10 Guard | Olympic

Golden is a high IQ playmaker and scoring guard that isn’t afraid to get rebounds and push the pace. He’s putting up 11.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.8 spg in the Olympic backcourt in 2020-21. He’s a speedy guard with solid decision-making skills on all three levels and worth a look by colleges coaches in the Charlotte area.

[player_tooltip player_id="838033" first="Brady" last="Rankin"] | 6’2 Guard | Northwood Temple

Rankin is quite the guard for Northwood Temple given his ability to get hot in a hurry in the backcourt for Northwood Temple. He’s averaging 15.1 ppg this seaosn hwile shooting 53.1 percent from 3-point range on the year. He’s effective at all three levels while showing off his ability to be an efficienct catch-and-shoot threat as well. He holds offers from Young Harris College and Georgia Southwestern.

[player_tooltip player_id="838017" first="Jalen" last="McDonald"] | 6’5 Guard/Wing | Leesville Road

McDonald has been a staple in the 2021 recruiting class for a while now given his ability to jump out the gym, figuratively speaking. He’s a prospect with the ability to get downhill and make an impact as a downhill driver at Leesville Road. He’s still got talent in his skillset for colleges in need of an athletic wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="838054" first="T.J." last="Mills"] | 6’3 Guard/Wing | Quality Education Academy

Mills is a crafty combo guard with a knack for defending at a high level and score it on all three levels. He’s a guard with solid handles off the bounce that allow him to operate on all three levels and he’s even more of a threat as a defender where he forces pressure and causes turnovers. He holds an offer from Appalachian State.

[player_tooltip player_id="838059" first="Jaheim" last="Taylor"] | 6’3 Guard/Wing | Princeton

Taylor has emerged as quite the breakout prospect in the spring and summer and it’s carried over into the high school season at Princeton as they’re 15-0 on the year. He’s posted stellar numbers as their leader on the squad, producing 25.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 5.4 apg and 4.1 spg as their most active threat on the floor. He’s shooting 31 percent from 3-point range and 54 percent from the field as a relentless presence on the floor. Keep an eye on him at states.

[player_tooltip player_id="985975" first="Tyrese" last="Whitley"] | 6’1 Guard | Princeton

Whitley is another prospect in the Princeton rotation that’s available and turning heads in the rotation. He’s right behind Taylor on the stat sheet, putting up 15.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.4 spg in the lineup. He’s shooting 45 percent from behind the arc while also showing off his ability to rebound and make plays in the backcourt. He’s a do-it-all guard worth noticing at Princeton.
