With only 8 teams remaining we take a dive into some of the prospects that remain.

Mountain View

Overall Mountain view is a dangerous team that has a mixture of athletes, quickness, strength and length. They will be a tough out.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="959019" first="Preston" last="Thompson"] is leading MV in scoring putting up 16 points a game. Can matchup well against other athletes.

6’8 [player_tooltip player_id="959020" first="Calvin" last="Gustafson"] is putting up 11 points a game and he rebounds well. He has racked up a lot of double doubles with some old school boxing out. Great size for a sleeper prospect at the next level. He will be a load to handle for a slender team.

Farmington

With no surprise Farmington is in a good position to advance to the Final 4. With a mixture of role players and talent Farmington is a fun team to watch.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"], the most impressive part of Collin’s game right now is that he is taking what teams are giving him. He will take the deep ball or take a lane. D1 prospect that continues to shine.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="933806" first="Truman" last="Hendry"] has been solid. He could be a difference maker with his speed and agility. With great size and touch Truman can make it difficult for defenders, especially running the break.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="1042363" first="Caleb" last="Mordue"] could be that difference maker on this team as the third option that can be the first option with his ability to score from all over the floor.

Brighton

Brighton has the length to be really effective in that 2-3 zone that they run. If someone isn’t ready they will be in trouble.

6’7 Josh Petersen is one of the best kept secrets out there as he is athletic and can play the 3-4 position. He rebounds and is fast up and down the floor.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="934504" first="Lander" last="Barton"] is a force with his strength and scoring ability has really improved as he can hit shots from all over the floor. D1 football player that is getting it done on the basketball court.

Olympus

This team is a mixture of young but experience. They has so many good players that can play at a high level. This team has all the tools to go all the way.

6’1 [player_tooltip player_id="1057020" first="Jordan" last="Barnes"] a freshman that is growing up on the fly. The kid is handling the ball well and finding ways to core off of his penetration and sheer IQ.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1057034" first="Dutch" last="Dowdell"] another freshman that can not only shoot light out, but he can score off the dribble.

6’8 [player_tooltip player_id="934490" first="Jack" last="Wistrcill"] is a big body that is skilled. He might not have the quickest feet but he sure makes up for it with his elite skills outside and inside. Big time prospect to keep an eye on. We only see him getting better with time.

Alta

Alta some great role players that can get it done but they are lead by a D1 talented athlete

6’8 [player_tooltip player_id="755620" first="Jaden" last="Brownell"] this kid can flat out play. He shoots the ball extremely well from outside and has a lot of skills inside the arc as well.

Timpview

The most experienced team probably in the state with so many players that are seniors that have a ton of playoff and high level experience.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="755614" first="Jake" last="Wahlin"], the BYU bound prospect will be a difference maker with his play making ability all over the floor.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="934031" first="James" last="Rust"] is doing big things with his all-around game. James will be huge, especially with his outside shooting. Big time 2023 prospect.

Bonneville

The Lakers are battle tested and they can get production from a number of players on their team.

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="1042364" first="Matt" last="Tesch"] has been huge all year as he can score with brute force from the paint.

Lehi

Lehi has some elite perimeter players that can score at all three levels.

6’2 Noa Gonzalves really makes a huge difference with his patient play. When he is rolling Lehi could be difficult to stop. Noa can score from the outside and he can break players all the way down into the paint and above the rim.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="933805" first="Tyson" last="Hawkins"] will be a interictal part of Lehi’s success moving forward because he can play all over the floor and he can almost defend everyone on the floor.
