As of the time of this writing, the following teams have not entered stats into VarsityBound: Panorama, Roland-Story, Anamosa, Spirit Lake, Albia, West Burlington, Pekin, PCM, Denver.

These top performers will solely come from the teams that have entered stats as of 11:15 am on February 25.

[player_tooltip player_id="796151" first="Jordan" last="Lawrence"], Camanche

Lawrence is an athletic freak at the point guard spot, a 5-10 guard who can get up and provide some highlight-reel dunks. He showcased his perimeter stroke in Camanche’s win over Mid-Prairie, going 4-9 from behind the arc in the Indians win, contributing 20 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id="964881" first="Zayne" last="Feller"], Camanche

An efficient 6-4 forward who runs the floor well and carves out great, early position, Feller had 15 points on 7-11 shooting to go with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id="964920" first="Sid" last="Schaaf"], Treynor

Both Schaaf and Tim Zimmerman had massive games in the Cardinals blowout win over AHSTW. Schaaf scored 34 points on 14-24 shooting, including a remarkable 6-11 from the 3-point line. The 6-0 guard has a quick release and he moves really well off the ball.

Tim Zimmerman, Treynor

Not to be outdone by Schaaf, Zimmerman was an eye-popping 8-11 from behind the arc en route to 28 points for the Cardinals. Like Schaaf, he’s a dynamic shooter who moves well off the ball and has a quick release. The Cardinals haven’t shot the ball like they’re capable of this year, but perhaps these performances by Schaaf and Zimmerman will get them rolling at the right time.

[player_tooltip player_id="796105" first="Cooper" last="DeJean"], OABCIG

An All-American on the gridiron, DeJean is an explosive athlete who provides highlight-reel dunks in seemingly every Falcons game. By his standards, he had a quiet game, scoring 17 points with 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals as the Falcons advanced to the substate final. Oh, and he did this:

[player_tooltip player_id="796175" first="Camden" last="Schroeder"], East Sac County

The 6-5 wing stuffs the stat sheet, and he continued to do so in his last game as a Raider, scoring 13 points with 13 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists. His versatility has been his calling card over the last three years for East Sac, and while he certainly would’ve preferred to win and advance to the substate final, he put up a final high school game that was very emblematic of his career.

[player_tooltip player_id="796147" first="Dane" last="Fuller"], Dike-New Hartford

Fuller missed the previous 13 games with a broken wrist, and unexpectedly came off the bench for the Wolverines to provide 18 points in their loss to Iowa Falls-Alden. A dynamic scoring guard who thrives on his ability to get to the paint, playing with an injured wrist took a lot of guts.

[player_tooltip player_id="964931" first="Jack" last="Gehling"], Beckman Catholic

A mobile, 6-5 big man, Gehling does a good job establishing early position by beating his man down the floor. He has good footwork and touch around the rim, and he put up 11 points and 11 rebounds in the Blazers win over Waukon.

[player_tooltip player_id="796183" first="Grant" last="Veenstra"], Des Moines Christian

Veenstra is an undersized forward at 6-3, but he's extremely active and that constant activity leads to a lot of production. He finished with 13 points on 5-8 shooting to go with 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="796102" first="Karson" last="Sharar"], Iowa Falls-Alden

The future Iowa football player led the Cadets to an upset win over Dike-New Hartford, finishing with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. He wasn't very efficient, shooting just 7-19, but he was 8-8 from the line. He has established himself as one of the state's premier scorers, and he showed why here.

[player_tooltip player_id="964821" first="Marcus" last="Kelderman"], Boyden-Hull

A shifty, 6-0 lefty guard, Kelderman has an innate ability to get to the rim where he's a very creative finisher. He had 18 points on 7-13 shooting with 5 rebounds and 3 steals in the Comets blowout win over Unity Christian. He was a breakout star last year at State, and has been outstanding this year as the Comets secondary scoring threat.
