The Week Ahead: Week 4’s Top Games (FREE)

Another full week of high school hoops is on the horizon across Kentucky and there is a great slate of games. Here are the top games of the week.

Monday:

Mr Basketball hopeful  Ben Johnson Ben Johnson 6'3" | CG Lexington Catholic | 2021 State KY and Lexington Catholic travel to Louisville to face Stephen Wearsch and CAL.

9th Region contenders meet as  Scotty Draud Scotty Draud 6'6" | SF Beechwood | 2021 State KY  and Beechwood head to Conner to face Riley Osterbur and the Cougars.

11th region showdown as Madison Central heads to Frederick Douglass.  Jaylen Davis Jaylen Davis 6'5" | SF Madison Central | 2023 State KY  and  Tyson Barrett Tyson Barrett 6'8" | PF Frederick Douglass | 2023 FL  is an interesting matchup between long wing prospects.

Tuesday:

Thomas Nelson is off to a hot start at 7-2 and make the short tip to Bardstown to face former Thomas Nelson star Andrew Mason Andrew Mason 6'4" | SF Bardstown | 2022 State KY and the Tigers.

Bowling Green is back in action after sitting out 2 weeks with Covid. They face Greenwood who they beat by 36 earlier this month.

Wednesday:

Bracken County and Augusta meet in a rematch of an earlier game.  Blake Reed Blake Reed 5'10" | PG Mason County | 2024 KY  and  Kason Hinson Kason Hinson 6'2" | SG Augusta | 2022 State KY  will be the matchup to watch.

District rivalry in the 5th region as  JaQuais Franklin JaQuais Franklin 6'1" | PG Elizabethtown | 2021 State KY  and E-town take on  Anthony Bowen Anthony Bowen 6'4" | SG John Hardin | 2021 State KY  and John Hardin.

Good game in the 10th region as Montgomery County and  Rickey Lovette Rickey Lovette 6'6" | PF Montgomery County | 2021 State KY  host  Terrell Henry Terrell Henry 6'2" | SF Mason County | 2023 State KY  and Mason County.

Thursday:

Jackson Twombly Jackson Twombly 6'7" | PF Woodford County | 2022 State KY  and Frankfort renew their rivalry with Zac Cox and Franklin County.

Covington Holy Cross and  Blake Robinson Blake Robinson 6'2" | SF Holy Cross Covington Ku | 2021 State KY host KeAndre Nelson and Newport in a northern Kentucky battle.

It’s a battle in the mountains when Shelby Valley and Kaden Robinson travel to Paintsville to face Colby Fugate Colby Fugate 6'3" | SF Paintsville | 2022 State KY  and the Tigers.

Friday:

Tough 6th region battle as  Keith Robinson Keith Robinson 6'5" | PF Pleasure Ridge Park | 2023 State KY and DeSales host Tucker Blanford Tucker Blanford 6'6" | SF Bullitt East | 2022 State KY and Will Blanford of Bullitt East.

Fun matchup as Jiarius Webb and Owensboro Catholic hosts Hopkinsville and  Alijah Watts Alijah Watts 6'2" | SG Hopkinsville | 2021 State KY .

A couple of the best private schools in the state go head to head as Ethan Hodge and Trinity square off with  Jack Gohmann Jack Gohmann 6'3" | SG Lexington Catholic | 2022 State KY  and Lex Cath.

Saturday:

The Belfry show comes to Lexington as  Bol Kuir Bol Kuir 7'3" | C Belfry | 2022 State KY  and the Pirates take on Darik Holman Darik Holman 6'3" | SF Henry Clay | 2021 State KY  and the Blue Devils.

Jaxon Smith Jaxon Smith 6'2" | PG Lincoln County | 2022 State KY  and Lincoln County are off to a slow start thanks to Covid delays but they hope to get rolling against  Zion Thomas Zion Thomas 6'1" | SG East Jessamine | 2021 State KY and East Jessamine.

Jared Wellman Jared Wellman 6'4" | SF George Rogers Clark | 2021 State KY  and George Rogers Clark travel to Scott County to play Isaiah Haynes and the defending 11th region champs.
