The game began with Greenfield getting off to a pretty quick start offensively while foul trouble caused some issues for several players from Wilson Prep. Greenfield would take the lead into the half but Wilson Prep would respond with a nice run in the third to take the lead into the 4th period. The game would go down to the wire with Greenfield getting the win 62-61 which only sets the tone for what should be an exciting rematch on Saturday.

Greenfield School Freshman Forward [player_tooltip player_id="1076333" first="Hampton" last="Evans"] got off to a fairly quick start, using his height and strength to make plays. He plays the game with a high motor and doesn’t mind playing with physicality at all which is impressive for a freshman.

Greenfield School Junior Wing [player_tooltip player_id="848068" first="Aaron" last="Murphy"] had a solid showing , scoring and rebounding at a nice rate. Whether it was scoring inside the paint through contact or stepping outside and showing some shooting range, he showed some versatility throughout the night.

Wilson Prep Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id="932063" first="Nasiar" last="Blackston"] picked up some early fouls which didn’t allow him to make a ton of an impact throughout the day. One attribute that we like about him is that regardless of the situation he’s going to play hard on both ends of the floor to try and help his team.

Wilson Prep Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id="577831" first="Christian" last="Battle"] is not the tallest guard by an stretch of the imagination but he plays with a ton of heart and toughness. He has good ballhandling skills and deep shooting range on his shot, in the second half he found some rhythm scoring the ball which helped his team make a nice run.

Wilson Prep Freshman Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1104960" first="Brandon" last="Anderson"] will be one to keep an eye on over the next few years as he progresses. He showed his ability to shoot the trey ball in the first half, knocking down some big treys to help his team cut into the lead.

Wilson Prep Senior Forward Omarreyon Johnson is a nice looking prospect, standing at 6’7 with a long wingspan. He was solid rebounding the ball, scoring inside and out, and brought some veteran experience to the floor with the majority of the players on the court being underclassmen.

Greenfield School Junior Guard KJ Peten is a player that makes an impact on the game that cant be measured by what you see on a stat sheet. His defense throughout the game was a positive for his team, he applied pressure without fouling which help to force some turnovers that led to transition buckets.

Greenfield School Sophomore Guard [player_tooltip player_id="854923" first="Jackson" last="Watt"] is another young prospect to keep an eye on for the future. He doesn’t play a huge amount of minuets but he showed some flashes of how good he can be, especially his textbook shooting form.
