The Beach Classic Winter Jam is closing up the final look at the standouts. Here’s a look at Part III of the standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id="1112396" first="Angel" last="Dean"] | 6’6 Power Forward/Center | Northwood Temple | 2021

Dean is a new face due to join the 2021 class given his ability to come in off the bench and provide some physicality on the interior. He’s a strong bodied-forward at 6-foot-6 that won’t hesitate to defend the post and on the perimeter using his size and quickness. He put up 6.7 ppg off the bench including 11 points against Aim High, showing his touch around the rim and then some.

[player_tooltip player_id="932118" first="Manny" last="Sepulveda"] | 5’11 Point Guard | Northwood Temple | 2021

Sepulveda has Northwood Temple firing on all cylinders at the point guard spot. He utilizes his wings well in [player_tooltip player_id="848062" first="Jaquantae" last="Harris"] and [player_tooltip player_id="838033" first="Brady" last="Rankin"], making plays as the floor general. Offensively, he doesn’t look to overdo things and showed poise, averaging 4.3 ppg. He’s also quite the defender and makes his presence felt using his speed and strength.

[player_tooltip player_id="1029968" first="Amare" last="Bethel"] | 6’2 Guard | Northwood Temple | 2024

Bethel was another strong force off the bench for Northwood Temple in the backcourt. He doesn’t look to do too much offensively just yet but defensively, he uses his athleticism and quickness to defend the basketball and rebound on both ends. He put up seven points against Covenant Day off the bench.

[player_tooltip player_id="1110452" first="Khalif" last="Barnes"] | 6’8 Forward | Piedmont Classical | 2023

Barnes is an emerging forward presence for Piedmont Classical in the 2023 class. He was a solid reserve for them off the bench at the Beach Ball Classic Winter Jam, showing off his physicality and mobility. He posted 4.3 ppg off the bench including nine points in their opening game. He does well operating on the block and uses his frame to draw fouls on opposing defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id="1112397" first="DreShawn" last="Brown"] | 6’0 Guard | Piedmont Classical | 2021

Brown is a quick combo guard that likes to get downhill and finish in the paint. He produced 8.3 ppg in the Piedmont Classical backcourt and proved to be a solid combination in the backcourt alongside [player_tooltip player_id="1110450" first="Lamont" last="McNeil Jr."] He should be a consistent threat in their offense as they approach conference action and a name to track for college coaches in the 2021 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1110456" first="Julius" last="Harrison"] | 6’5 Guard/Forward | Piedmont Classical | 2022

Harrison is another Piedmont Classical prospect to track in the 2022 class. He’s a versatile prospect at 6-foot-5 that can play on the interior and the perimeter on both ends. He put up 7.7 ppg while showing off his ability to get to the free throw line off the bounce and knock down shots on the perimeter. He’s got a solid frame to go with his size that allows him to make an impact when he’s on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1022040" first="Iffy" last="Ufochukwu"] | 6’11 Forward/Center | Covenant Day School | 2022

Iffy is coming along nicely in the frontcourt at Covenant Day School as a presence in the paint and rim protector. He runs the floor well and is starting to learn to play with pace alongside [player_tooltip player_id="949378" first="Aden" last="Holloway"]. His length allows him to protect the rim and rebound in bunches. He’s an emerging big man to watch in the 2022 class.
