<p>The 40th Annual Beach Ball Classic came to a end yesterday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Lets take a look at out the Palmetto State teams in action on the last day from the Grand Strand. </p>
<p><strong>Gray Collegiate 56 First Baptist 48 </strong></p>

<p>The War Eagles battled back after trailing 14-2 at the end of the 1st quarter to the Hurricanes. North Carolina A&T signee <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927500" first="Chase" last="McDuffie"]</strong> the War Eagles with 16 points<strong>. [player_tooltip player_id="594048" first="Calvin" last="Hall"]</strong> was great off the bench scoring 14 points and playing some really good defense along the way. UMKC signee <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1005768" first="Timothy" last="Barnes"]</strong> finished with 10 points. The War Eagles were playing without the services of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="865307" first="Brandon" last="Gardner"]</strong> who was hurt earlier in the week at the Beach Ball Classic. The War Eagles move to (9-4) on the season. </p>
<p>The hurricanes led most of the game but just ran out of gas down the stretch. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837322" first="Colin" last="McKenzie"]</strong> led the charge with 15 points while making 4 three pointers. Citadel bound football signee <strong>Mikey Blandin</strong> finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the Hurricanes. First Baptist falls to (6-4) on the season. </p>
<p><strong>Myrtle Beach HS 41 Cape Fear Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC) 36</strong></p>

<p>The Seahawks were trailing 20-7 at halftime vs the Hurricanes. That score is correct and not a football score. The Seahawks finally started to make some ground in the 3rd quarter cut the lead to 28-23 heading into the 4th quarter.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="840217" first="JJ" last="Jones"]</strong> a University of North Carolina football signee led the way with 14 points. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840211" first="Ayden" last="Hickman"]</strong> and Junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1109478" first="Xavier" last="Martin"]</strong> both added 11 points. The Seahawks move to (5-6) heading into 2021. </p>
<p><strong>Vytas Nausedas</strong> continued his solid play in the tourney and finished with 14 points. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1006289" first="Gavin" last="Guion"]</strong> finished the game with 9 points in the loss for the Hurricanes (6-3). </p>
<p><strong>Socastee HS 71 Cheraw HS 59 </strong></p>
<p>The clash of the Braves salvaged over at Crabtree Recreation Center. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927557" first="Mike" last="Herrin"]</strong> led the way with 24 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930620" first="Trey" last="McManus"]</strong> chipped in with 12 points for Socastee HS. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1080955" first="Justin" last="Alquiza"]</strong> added 10 points in the win. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840225" first="Marshall" last="Myers"]</strong> led the way for Cheraw HS (2-7) with 17 points. <strong>Zay Brown</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927576" first="Jonathan" last="Gordon"]</strong> both added 15 and 13 points respectively in the game. </p>
<p><strong>North Myrtle Beach HS 55 Carolina Forest 50 </strong></p>

<p>The Chiefs came out on top of this Horry County rivalry today. The Chiefs (3-3) were led by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927571" first="Kymani" last="Knox"]</strong> with 20 points and 9 rebounds. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="747006" first="Javi" last="Marlowe"]</strong> logged all 32 minutes in the game and finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1109479" first="Elijah" last="Vereen"]</strong> a water-bug point guard caused havoc in the back court today and finished with 9 points. Small forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1052271" first="Cameron" last="Henley"]</strong> finished 7 points in the win. </p>
