We found out that the AIA season is cancelled on Friday, but we still take a look at some of the top players in every conference.

There still may be a glimmer of hope the season actually still goes on with a possible re-vote by the AIA committee or having it as an AAU season or the ABCA will just run it like they ran the Section-7 or Border League.

We look at more PG’s in 5A.

Here are some sleeper PG’s that will impact their team:

[player_tooltip player_id="1032527" first="Brandon" last="Austin"] (Arcadia)

-A top-10 team has a lot of scoring options and Austin can make his teammates better like a pure PG would with a good feel for the game. He can get into the lane and shoot it from deep.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045443" first="Cody" last="Blumenthal"] (Catalina Foothills)

-Another pure PG sets the table for his scorers. He runs the offense and plays with a high IQ. He can shoot it and can get into the paint with the use of hesitations. You will usually see him making the right decision off of pick and rolls.

[player_tooltip player_id="1045540" first="Drey" last="Sherwood"] (Casteel)

-A cerebral combo guard is undersized but he plays a big game. He can fill it up from deep with a quick trigger and plays really hard. He can handle some of he PG duties and play off the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1054334" first="Eli" last="Johnson"] (Gilbert)

-The fast guard is a pure PG who has improved every season. His jumper has steadily got better and he can use his burst to get into the lane and score it. He will help relieve some ball handling pressure off of [player_tooltip player_id="703847" first="Tampa" last="Scott"].

[player_tooltip player_id="973826" first="Rafe" last="Canale"] (Sunrise Mountain)

-The scoring guard will take a leap up in production. He can score it from all 3 levels and shoots it easily plus use the floater.

[player_tooltip player_id="831128" first="Ryan" last="Ginsberg"] (Desert Mountain)

-A scoring lead guard who can shoot it from the 3pt line and pull-up from mid. He can make plays for others and will help the older guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="937188" first="Gray" last="Ndagijimana"] (Agua Fria)

-A scoring ball handler who loves touching the paint with his tighter handle and length. He can make plays but will try to take the ball to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="1077594" first="Chuck" last="Bailey"] (Higley) (Pictured)

-A long, taller and stronger guard likes shooting it off the dribble from the perimeter. He can get you on his hip and get into the lane and score. He has good length to defend and the sophomore may be the team leader in points already.

[player_tooltip player_id="1077598" first="Isaiah" last="Bronson"] (Williams Field)

-A quick jitterbug PG is fast in the open court. He can score from mid to the 3pt line plus get inside and drive and kick it out to an open shooter.
