Which shooting guards impressed during week two of the high school basketball season?

[player_tooltip player_id="879993" first="Hayden" last="Doyle"] -- 2021 -- Brookfield East

There are simply no holes in Doyle's game. The shooting guard plays tough defense, scores the ball well at all three levels, and always gives 100 percent effort. In two games this week, the Brookfield East standout scored over 30 points twice. Don't sleep on Doyle in college -- he will become a great prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="804898" first="Brandin" last="Podziemski"] -- 2021 -- SJNMA

Podziemski has just gotten better and better over the course of his career. While the competition may not be top-notch, the shooting guard has proven that he can pretty much do whatever he wants at the high school level. In three games this week, the SJNMA SG scored 105 points.

[player_tooltip player_id="953945" first="Mac" last="Wrecke"] -- 2023 -- Arrowhead

After having a successful freshman season, Wrecke returned to Arrowhead as a much better player. The 2023 wing had a really impressive 28 point performance in a very close loss to a good Waukesha West squad. Wrecke is inching closer and closer to reaching his full potential.

[player_tooltip player_id="945811" first="Kenny" last="Garth"] -- 2022 -- Westosha Central

I liked what I saw from Garth during the 2020 AAU season. He is a dynamic slasher who is an underrated playmaker. In a close overtime loss to Franklin, Garth led all scorers with 20 points on seven made field goals. College coaches should keep an eye on this talented guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="994395" first="Charlie" last="Bender"] -- 2021 -- Lake Mills

Just when the opposing team starts to pay attention to other prospects on Lake Mills, Bender will make his presence felt. He is a strong three-point shooter who seems to always make the right play at the right time. In a blowout win, Bender put up 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Riley Brooks -- 2023 -- Ripon

While it wasn't a fun day for his team, Brooks managed to have an effective day as he scored 27 points. The long, athletic guard is a smooth scorer who defenders will have a very tough time slowing down. Look out for Brooks to continue to put up big scoring numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id="804902" first="Jayden" last="Jackson"] -- 2021 -- Whitefish Bay

Jackson is a terrific athlete who could have played football at the D1 level. Instead, he chose to play basketball at Northern Arizona University. In a victory over Grafton, Jackson scored an efficient 27 points on 12-16 shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id="994505" first="Angelo" last="Rizzo"] -- 2021 -- Janesville Craig

Rizzo is a really good shooter who is always looking to get hot on the offensive end. The SG’s versatility on both ends is very impressive. He doesn't shy away from anything, no matter the occasion. This week, Rizzo scored 24 points to lead Janesville Craig to an impressive win.
