Prep Hoops Virginia recently just updated their 2021 rankings and what stood out right away when looking at the new rankings is the amount of depth there is in the class. There are a number of prospects still left to decide where they will be going to college and in this article I will take a look at the top five unsigned seniors in the Virginia 2021 class.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="543841" first="Trevor" last="Keels"] | Paul VI

Earlier this summer we slotted Keels as the number one prospect in the 2021 class and this go around he stays slotted at number one. There has not been much evaluation of Keels recently because of the pandemic but he is currently down to three schools being Villanova, Virginia and Duke.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="957885" first="Jalen" last="Ricks"] | Oak Hill Academy

In my opinion Ricks is one of the least talked about and underrated prospects on the east coast. The Little Rock, Arkansas native can score at all three levels and has good versatility to play good defense at the next level. One program is getting a sleeper from the 2021 class.

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="1091480" first="Camryn" last="Carter"] | Oak Hill Academy

Before Oak Hill played on ESPN in November, I did not know that much Carter but after a breakout performance on national TV, Carter definitely earned attention on the national scene. Against Lake Norman on ESPN, his shot making ability proved to be on his strengths as he looks like a quality guard for a strong mid major program or even a high major program.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="798695" first="Bryson" last="Spell"] | Cape Henry Collegiate

I have been a strong proponent for Spell for quite some time now and it is still a little confusing as to why teams are not more on Spell. Spell oozes with upside and potential with his size and ability to stretch the floor. Known as a shotmaker, Spell has a high IQ and can rebound the ball on both ends of the floor.

6’7 [player_tooltip player_id="798686" first="Clarence" last="Rupert"] | Miller School

Rupert is another prospect flying under the radar who recently transferred to Miller School. Rupert is a powerful forward with a good amount of muscle on him standing at 6’7 and has good versatility that allows him to do a lot. He is tenacious at going to get the basketball on the boards and is able to bring down a lot because of his size.
