Charles Willmott Charles Willmott 6'1" | CG OES | 2021 State OR (2021 Oregon Episcopal) – Last year the Aardvarks had a great season led by Willmott and his former counterpart Pejovic-Nezhat. They ended the season as state champions in 3A. Knocking off the one seed and conference rival De La Salle North Catholic on their way to a championship. Charles earned a first-team all-state selection and a unanimous first-team all-tournament selection. His three-point shooting skills were a big reason along with his great ability to push the ball on a fast break and get easy layups. Coach Kirk felt comfortable drawing up plays for Charles in clutch moments of games and he delivered. Willmott hopes to lead the Aardvarks to another successful season after losing 8 seniors this past season.
Donminic Lewis (2021 Cascade Christian) – Another Cinderella story from last season the Cascade Christian Challengers. They made it to the 3A state final with Donminic as their leader. Donminic was a first-team unanimous all-tournament selection and earned first-team all-state. Lewis showed a well-rounded game on offense being able to use the step-back move well. Along with being smart and knowing when to come off screens and finding the right pass to make when needed. Defensively, he knows the right places to be in order to get rebounds and ignite some fast breaks.Donminic will look to lead the Challengers to the top of the mountain this season as they try to get back to the state final.
Josh Wart Josh Wart 6'6" | PF Amity | 2021 State OR (2021 Amity) – Amity did not quite have the tournament success they had hoped, but still finished with a top 4 rank heading into the postseason. The Warriors faced some stiff competition in the PacWest Conference but with some standout play by Wart, they were in the top three teams in the conference. The 6’6 big man showed some great skills last year and was easy to see why he earned a first-team all-state selection. His passing ability is top-notch, his rebounding ability is great. Pair those skills with the spin move he used in the post position that left defenders in the dust; he also showed excellent hustle, he would always be cleaning up misses with putback dunks or layups. Josh is an exciting player to watch and will look to lead Amity to the top of the PacWest this season.
Bennett Bos Bennett Bos 6'3" | SG Salem Academy | 2021 State OR (2021 Salem Academy) – The Crusaders of Salem Academy finished 4th in the state tournament last year to end their season and finished undefeated in the PacWest. Led by Bennett Bos Bennett Bos 6'3" | SG Salem Academy | 2021 State OR who averaged a double-double in the tournament last season and earned himself second-team all-state along with second-team all-tournament. Bos showed really good rebounding ability by seemingly always being in the right place at the right time. He also flashed some shooting ability from three-point land and was comfortable with a 15-foot jumper if the defense gave him that chance. Bennett will look to take on more leadership this season and lead the Crusaders to similar success in the upcoming season.
Dawson Ashley (2021 Dayton) – Another great scorer on this list, Dawson Ashley led the Dayton Pirates over Bos’ Crusaders and Josh Wart Josh Wart 6'6" | PF Amity | 2021 State OR s Warriors to finish atop the PacWest standings and earn the two seed heading into the state tournament. Ashley showed an outstanding pull-up jumper that is tough to defend. He also showed a really quick first step giving the defender a jab one way than going the other to finish at the hoop. Dawson was also a pest on defense getting into passing lanes and getting steals from behind. Ashley will seek to keep the Pirates atop the conference standings going into next season and look to lead them to more tournament success.
