Ryce Piper Ryce Piper 6'2" | PG Hartville | 2021 State MO 6’3″ Hartville: The smooth 2021 guard scored a game-high 25 points in the Eagles victory over Houston in the first round of the Blue & Gold Tournament. He was most impressive in the first four minutes of the game when he scored 11 points and dropped a couple of nice dimes to get things rolling for his powerful squad, which has the No. 1 seed in the Blue Division. Hartville won the Blue Division title last season.
Andrew Dalton Andrew Dalton 6'3" | SG Ava | 2022 State MO 6’3″ Ava: The thick-bodied 2022 wing wheeled and dealed his way to 30 points in the Bears’ hard-fought 60-50 victory over Buffalo in the first round of the Blue & Gold Tournament. He displayed his vast offensive repertoire in using his strength to bully-ball his way to buckets in the paint while also being able to shake and bake off the dribble to create his own shot on the perimeter. He also lived at the free throw line and converted the free tosses.
Trayvon Thomas 6’2″ Hayti: The 2022 guard comes in off the bench and he is one of the best sixth men in the state with his ability to create buckets. He scored a game-high 27 points as the xx escaped with a 71-69 victory over Malden in the first round of the Bloomfield Tournament. With his team trailing by 11 points in the second half, he basically took things over to get his team back into the game as he attacked the basket and got out in transition to score. He’s a bucket.
Zach Howell Zach Howell 6'4" | SG Springfield Catholic | 2022 State MO 6’4″ Springfield Catholic: The 2022 guard continued his early season scoring rampage with 27 points in a 75-44 victory over Purdy in the first round of the Blue & Gold Tournament. He did most of the damage in the first half with 17 points. He has the ability to score in a variety of ways with drives, 3-pointers, offensive rebounds and post ups in the lane. He is averaging close to 30 points on the season.
Bode Abraham 6’1″ Buffalo: The 2021 combo guard scored a team-high 25 points in the Bisons loss to Ava in the first round of the Blue & Gold Tournament. He had the hot hand early as he knocked down three 3-pointers in the first quarter and scored 11 points. From that point, he was a picture of constant motion as he attacked the basket, scored on cuts off the ball and played very spirited defense. I loved his motor at both ends of the court.
Caleb Schaab 6’1″ Leopold: The 2022 combo guard scored a game-high 33 points to lead to the Wildcats to a 62-59 victory over Leopold in the first round of the SE Missourian Christmas Tournament in Cape Girardeau. The young man does a good job of moving without the ball and he can score off the dribble, on cuts and working off screens. He is also a fixture at the free throw line, making 12 of his 13 attempts.
Ethan Jones Ethan Jones 6'2" | SG Branson | 2022 State MO 6’0″ Doniphan: The 2021 guard scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Dons to a 62-44 victory over Holcomb in first round of the Bloomfield Tournament. He was one of the most impressive 3-point shooters in the field as he knocked down six from long distance.
