It was week 4 of the Rock N Ball Winter League in Indiana. Prep Hoops Illinois had it covered from wall to wall. Here we dive into some of the top performers in our Rock N Ball Week 4: 2021 Standouts!

[player_tooltip player_id="652088" first="John" last="Poulakidas"] (Neuqua Valley)

The Yale commit is one of the most skilled prospects in the state of Illinois. The angular lefty is a high level shot maker especially off the catch whether it is spotting up or in pick/pop situations. Lightning quick release! Also showed off his very underrated handles on several acrobatic drives where he either converted or was fouled. Also his defense on the ball has made significant growth as he did a really nice job on that side.

[player_tooltip player_id="765148" first="Ahamad" last="Bynum"] (Simeon)

Bynum is headed to DePaul next season, but not until after he puts up some buckets in the Rock N Ball league. The Simeon two guard was streaky throughout the night from deep and at times forced some shots, but like always when the game is on the line he steps up. Made several monster threes down the stretch including an array of contested ones. Had a nice spurt in the middle of the game where he pushed to find teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="821763" first="Jakobi" last="Heady"] (Hillcrest)

Heady currently ranks as the highest uncommitted wing in the senior class. The Hillcrest small forward is a long and lanky combo forward that in this contest utilized his long arms and quickness inside for put backs, finishing dump offs, and blocking shots. Also got in a steal taking it the other way for a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049585" first="Amarion" last="Savage"] (East Aurora)

Savage is a dynamic guard that brings a ton of energy to his team. Slithers through the defense off the bounce for scores along with getting to the charity stripe. Shifty ball handler that can also get in the lane to create for others.

[player_tooltip player_id="830601" first="Tevin" last="Smith"] (Danville)

Smith is a strong bodied wing from central Illinois. He was really good on the glass in this game. Defensively he grabbed quite a few 50/50 boards and threw nice outlets. On the other end he also got a put back. Couple quick dishes inside. Nice finish on a pick/roll play. His best move of the night was probably a turnaround jumper late in the contest.

[player_tooltip player_id="920959" first="Nathanael" last="Hoskins"] (Danville)

Hoskins is a bowling ball of a guard with his thick body at the lead guard spot. He has some burst on straight line drives and can overpower weaker defenders. Loves to get in the lane for runners. Crafty finisher in the paint. High level rebounder for a guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="920943" first="James" last="Dent"] (Springfield Southeast)

Dent is among the better wing prospects remaining on the board in Illinois. Rangy and thin two guard that had a few creative drives which is an area that he has made growth over the last year being able to put it on the deck with consistency. Anyone who knows Dent knows the long ball is his strength. Down the stretch he used it drilling a pair of monster ones in an intense game.

[player_tooltip player_id="920973" first="Khailieo" last="Terry"] (Champaign Centennial)

Terry is the definition of a junk yard dog. He is an elite offensive rebounder that mauls opponents on the glass. Looks even thicker than when we last saw him in August. He runs the floor well and finishes dump offs in the paint. Scored on a high/low play along with an and-1 on a dump off dish. High-motor big man!

[player_tooltip player_id="920956" first="Luke" last="Moustakas"] (Brother Rice)

What a show the Brother Rice power forward put on! Moustakas is a face up four man that stretches the floor and did he ever do that on Friday. We caught both of his games and he shot it at a very high clip from beyond the arc. Plus shooter off the catch that has excellent shot prep. Works well in pick/pop situations flaring off to shoot the three ball. Had a couple scores around the hoop and even put it on the deck. Offensively it was his shooting that really shined. Liked what he did defensively as a post defender making it tough for opponents to score by using good positioning and not fouling.

Isiah Lewis (TF South)

Lewis is not quite the prospect his younger brother is, but we really like what he could bring to a small college program. He is a utility wing that brings defense, toughness, and finishing in the paint. Works well from the mid-post.

[player_tooltip player_id="920947" first="Kimahri" last="Wilson"] (Carmel)

Wilson is a shifty point guard that plays with a lot of speed. That was shown on a coast to coast take. Works well around ball screens in pick/roll situations. Was fouled on a three with seconds to go. Made all three free throws to win the game. He also had a standout play defensively as he blocked a fellow guards shot, then stole it from that same player, and pushed the other way.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049511" first="Antonio" last="Leavy"] (Rockford Jefferson)

Leavy is a wide bodied five man that rebounds well in his area. Offensively he carves out deep post position on the catch. Once he gets that deep of position it is over. Soft touch and nimble footwork for how big he is.

[player_tooltip player_id="821772" first="Christian" last="Henry"] (St. Rita)

Henry is a straight bucket getter. At times he can play a bit out of control, but you can live with that when he goes on one of his epic scoring outbursts. Really like his pull up game from both mid-range and three. Quality ball handler that is not afraid of anyone out there!
