Every player likes to see where they fall in the rankings. Let’s look at the class of 2021 prospect rankings and who holds the spot at some of the key ranking numbers.

#1

[player_tooltip player_id="611404" first="Kobe" last="Bufkin"] (CG, Grand Rapids Christian)

Bufkin is widely considered a top 50 senior in the country. He’s a silky smooth lefty that can score at all 3 levels. Bufkin has a nice swooping drive that seems to get him looks at the rim whenever he wants.

#10

[player_tooltip player_id="611411" first="Parker" last="Day"] (PF, Saginaw Heritage)

Day is a very intriguing player and prospect. He’ll battle in the paint and stay aggressive on the glass, but can also pull his defender away from the rim. I believe that Day will have a very nice college career.

#25

[player_tooltip player_id="811104" first="Javantae" last="Randle"] (PF, Detroit Frederick Douglass)

Watchout for Randle! First of all, he’s a steal at the 20 spot. Quite frankly, he has top 10 potential and I see him eventually playing Division 1 basketball. Randle’s game is really expanding and is creating a lot of buzz around the state.

#50

[player_tooltip player_id="811131" first="Dante" last="Foreman"] (SF, Wayne Memorial)

Foreman is another steal at his number. He’s sitting at 50, with top 20 skills and upside. Foreman is an athletic wing that is a huge threat in the open floor. He’s a very tough finisher at the rim.

#75

[player_tooltip player_id="814606" first="Trevor" last="Smith"] (PG, Stoney Creek)

Smith seems way to solid as a lead guard to be at 75. He’s a very efficient ball handler and passer. Smith has a solid feel for the game and is a very smart shooter.

#101

[player_tooltip player_id="980063" first="Brendan" last="Youn"]g (CG, Fowlerville)

Youngis one of those young men that’s just good at whatever he does. And basketball is certainly one of those things. He’s a scorer at heart that can manufacture buckets.

#150

[player_tooltip player_id="814608" first="Makhi" last="Bloodworth"] (SF, Kalamazoo Central)

Bloodworth has a huge upside at this spot. He’s probably a top 75 pure athlete. He plays off the ball well, cutting to the rim and working to get open for his lead guard.

#200

[player_tooltip player_id="814644" first="Derrell" last="Woods Jr."] (PG, Taylor Trillium)

Woods Jr. has next level ability, without a doubt. He’s a quick guard with good handles. Woods Jr. can change speeds and has good start-stop speed.

#250

[player_tooltip player_id="1055897" first="Blake" last="Stewart"] (SF, Coopersville)

Stewart is a grinder for Coopersville. He may be a bit undersized as a 3 at the next level, but I could see him playing a small college 2. Stewart has a nice straight line drive and can finish through contact.

#269

[player_tooltip player_id="1051083" first="Gavin" last="Sluss"] (PG, Lenawee Christian)

Sluss occupies the final ranking position for the class of 2021. Don’t let that fool you, because he’s included for a reason. The talented guard is ready to help Lenawee Christian to a big season.
