The Olympic Conference was one of the top conferences in New Jersey last season with two sectional champions and a pair of sectional finalists. Camden was the top team in the state, while Paul VI and Timber Creek were both top 20 teams. The conference is filled with talented players who will make an impact at the next level. Here are the top returning All-Stars in the Olympic Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="850751" first="Dajuan" last="Wagner Jr"]., 6’3 PG Camden 2023

The High dominated its competition last season and Wagner Jr. was the one who spearheaded the offense. The 6’3 is a threat to drop 25 points on any given night and can score at all three levels. Wagner Jr. plays under control and does not get rattled under pressure. He has a good handle and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Wagner Jr. was a Second Team All-State selection last year and has the potential to make the First Team this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="850506" first="Zach" last="Hicks"], 6’7 SF Camden Catholic 2021

Hicks had a big 2019-20 season for the Irish as he helped lead the Irish to their third straight Non-Public A South title game. The Temple commit has a smooth release on his jumper and can make it rain from distance. Hicks is able to beat his man off the bounce as well and finish around the rim. He is an underrated rebounder and is unafraid of contact close to the basket. Hicks is one of the top players in South Jersey and his skillset should be on full display for Camden Catholic this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="850529" first="Wisler" last="Sanon"], 6’3 CG Paul VI 2021

The Eagles were the top seed in Non-Public A South and they will be a team to watch again with Sanon returning. The NJIT commit is one of the top defenders in the state as he can defend multiple positions on the floor. Sanon attacks the basket with a purpose and is strong enough to finish through contact. He can knock down perimeter jumpers as well and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. Sanon is a tough-minded guard who should have a strong final season for Paul VI.

Derekm Simpson, 6’0 PG Lenape 2022

Lenape was a South Jersey Group 4 semifinalist last season and Anderson was a big reason why. The 6’0 lead guard is dynamic with the ball in his hands and is tough to keep out of the lane. Simpson is a crafty finisher around the basket and knows how to draw contact around the rim. He is a good passer and plays with quick hands on the defensive end. Simpson is a talented point guard who should lead the Lenape offense again this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="850504" first="Ta’Quan" last="Woodley"], 6’7 PF Camden 2021

The second Panther on the list, Woodley provides head coach Rick Brunson with toughness inside. The South Carolina commit is a load down low and is hard to move out of the paint on both ends of the floor. Woodley has a nice touch around the basket and uses his strong frame to draw contact. He is one of the top shot-blockers in the class and gobbles up rebounds down low. Woodley will have an expanded role in the offense this season and has the potential to be a double-double machine this scene.
