One of the elite shooters around, Hecht showed over the summer that he can be unguardable at times. He can leap out of the gym and at 6-foot-5 has length to be a real handful. He averaged 15.1 points and 7 rebounds as a junior and is ready for big senior campaign after testing himself against elite summer competition.
Returning stars:
Avery Bryson Avery Bryson 6'2" | SF Abilene | 2021 State KS , senior, Abilene:
Bryson will be a top-notch complement to Becker for the Cowboys, who won the North Central League last season. The 6-foot-3 guard posted 9 points and 5 rebounds a game as a junior, earning 4A honorable mention.
Wyatt Trost, senior, Concordia:
Concordia struggled to a 4-17 mark a year ago, and will look to Trost for improvement. He averaged 8.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game last year.
Players to watch:
Chas Carlgren, senior, Concordia:
The 6-foot-3 senior was Concordia’s leader at 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season. It will be interesting to see how quickly he can return from injury that may wipe him out for a few months.
