<p><i>2020 was a year full of different challenges and obstacles but one thing is for certain, there was still plenty of good basketball going on around the state ! Let’s take a moment to take a look back at some of the best moments of the year features players and team from across the state</i>.</p>
<p><b><i>[player_tooltip player_id="570516" first="Josh" last="Hall"] goes Prep to Pro</i></b>! Hall was a dominant player through his final two years at Moravian Prep and would end up being a highly sought after prospect, committing to NC State. He would eventually make the decision to skip college and head to the NBA where he is now signed to play with the OKC Thunder.</p>
<p><b><i>Liberty Heights & Team Curry Forward [player_tooltip player_id="1008874" first="Jonas" last="Aidoo"] Stock Rise</i></b>! His size at 7 foot was always a reason to grasp the attention of people but this year it seemed as if he took the next step development wise and began to put the full package together. Schools all across the country would offer Aidoo and he would go on to commit to Marquette University.</p>
<p><b><i>The new kid comes to town and take over</i></b> ! Westover HS Guard [player_tooltip player_id="839121" first="D’Marco" last="Dunn"] came to NC with 1 scholarship offer and not a ton of buzz to his name. He didn’t waste any time letting his talent show and he would help to lead his team to an undefeated season as well as becoming a Top 40 prospect nationally.</p>
<p><b><i>The impressive run of North Meck</i></b>! They were dominate throughout the season, reaching a record of 30-1 with their only loss coming to a team out of state. GA Tech signee <b>[player_tooltip player_id="572959" first="Tristan" last="Maxwell"]</b> made his case as one of the better shooters in the state which was key in their deep playoff run.</p>
<p><b><i>The emergence of [player_tooltip player_id="833098" first="Zavian" last="McLean"]</i></b>! It’s always a pleasure when you see a player that’s been under the radar recruitment wise, finally getting his chance to shine. Mclean took full advantage of his opportunities and put together one of the best overall seasons out of any player in the state.</p>
<p><b><i>The Cinderella run of a team from Robeson County</i></b>! The Lumberton HS Pirates put together an outstanding playoffs run that would end with a share of the NCHSAA 4A Championship. Guard <b>[player_tooltip player_id="833299" first="Jordan" last="McNeill"]</b> was outstanding all season long as his play was a big part of how they were able to knock of the #1, 4 and 8 team in the East bracket to to reach the Championship</p>
